Want to colour your hair without subjecting you locks to all those harsh chemicals?

Well let me introduce you to Naturigin

Founded in 2004 by the Danish couple Stig and Mette NATURIGIN offers 19 permanent colour shades which are all 100% free from PTD, SLS, ammonia, resorcinol, and parabens. Containing a naturally derived formula, with a special blend of certified organic lemon and mandarin essential oils, along with 10 additional pure and gentle organic extracts and natural oils, which protect the hair during colouring to reveal shiny nourished locks!

This innovative Danish brand won the best Natural Beauty Product 2014-2015 in the US market and Naturigin is the only hair dye in the world to have an organic certification and is made from using 98.2% naturally derived ingredients, making it a vegan product.

I recently tried the product myself as I was concerned about the health of my hair and wanted to avoid using any chemicals and I must say the process was super simple and I was thrilled with the results.

Super clean in a white T

I cannot think of a more versatile team of clothing then the humble white T-shirt. Seriously what piece of clothing are you able to wear any day of the year, in any season. That said, it’s in the summer that white t-shirt truly becomes a wardrobe necessity, as it can anchor statement pieces such as wildly-printed shorts or colored jeans, take the formality out of work wear, add a casual element to silky, beaded, or even sequin skirts, just convey a sense of laid back summer style with a pair of blue denim cut-off shorts or jeans or nick your boyfriends oversized t-shirt chuck on some statement jewellery and voila you have a tunic dress.

Whether it’s a crisp cotton crewneck or the paper-thin slouchy styles made popular in recent season the white t-shirts are a must for your wardrobe.

Palmers Coconut Oil Formula Range

Being a child of Caribbean descent Palmers Coca butter was one of the main beauty staples in my house (No one was leaving the house with no dry arms and legs), so of course I jumped at the chance to check out their award-winning Coconut Oil Formula range which includes a Body Lotion, Hand Cream, Body Cream and Body Oil.

I had been incorporating coconut oil in to my skin and hair care regime for some time now so it’s nice to cut out the middleman as brands are realizing the many benefits of including coconut oil in their products.

The Coconut Oil Formal aside from smelling amazing and leaving my skin feeling soft supple and moisturized without feeling greasy consist of mainly ethically and sustainably sourced raw, organic Coconut Oil which is infused with ancient Polynesian sacred oil, Tahitian Monoi Oil and is also free from Parabens, phthalates, mineral oil.

My favorite product from the range is the Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Oil as I loved the way the oils absorbed into my skin quickly and easily without feeling sticky and left me smelling heavenly.

I also like that fact that you can add a few drops to your bath to make your bathing experience a little bit more luxurious.

Louis Vuitton’s “Series 3” Exhibition

Described on Louis Vuitton’s website as: “A modern and unexpected reinterpretation of a fashion show, this exhibition, following on from SERIES 1 and SERIES 2, invites visitors to discover Nicolas Ghesquière’s inspirations for his fourth ready-to-wear show as the Artistic Director for women’s collections at Louis Vuitton.”

I was completely blown away by the innovation and the thought that went behind Louis Vuitton Series 3. Every aspect of the design process was portrayed from the beginning roots of the Louis Vuitton design and creation process to modern day with all the technical advances that have been picked up along the way. Actual artisan from Vuitton were flown in to demonstrate the assembly process for Ghesquière’s and visitors were able to ask them questions, there was a virtual catwalk show and the ultimate Louis Vuitton wardrobe.

Walking On Air Pedicure

Monday I was invited down to Nice Nails Baby in Clapham Junction to try out their Walking On Air Pedicure. I have to admit I had slightly fallen off with my pedicure game to the point that during our recent heatwave I couldn’t rock my sandals because my toes were far from on point.

Generally I do love a good pedicure as it give me a chance to relax and get pampered but be with work and trying to buy a flat time has not been on my side so when I got the invitation I was delighted to pop down to trendy Clapham to get my feet right.

Nice Nails Baby i.e. located almost directly across from the station inside the Electric Beach Tanning Salon.

I loved the classy yet eclectic décor which was a far cry from the bland and almost clinical décor of most nail shops. Everywhere you looked there was pictures of nail designs to give customers inspiration which had e looking down at my hands wondering if I had time for a quick manicure also but I was pushed for time so I made a mental not to come back another time.

I was greeted by Michelle Duberry who is also Managing Director and founder of Nice Nails Baby and lead to the pedicure room.

After deciding on a colour was sitting pretty soaking my tootise in a warm foot spa then a foot mask was applied and my feet were wrapped in cling film while Michelle and I shot the breeze about everything from fashion to blogging to natural hair journeys and she even recommended a hairdresser to me Result!!

Once the mask was washed off of me feet a foot file was used to buff my feet free of any rough or dry skin. Next my cuticles were pushed back and my nails were cut and shaped.

Before the nail colour was applied a foot scrub was used, followed by lotion and a relaxing foot rub.

Throughout the treatment I felt very comfortable and no discomfort was experienced. The treatment was done to a high standard, the and as I was feeling comfortable the time seemed to fly by.

As my appointment was on a Monday morning I expected it to be quiet however there were a number of people popping in to enquire about appointments. I would love to come back when it was quite busy because I imagine the atmosphere would be laid back and fun. Even though Clapham is bit out my way I explained to Michelle that when it comes to good customer service I am normally happy to go out of my way or pay extra because you want to feel happy with the service especially when it comes to being pampered.

Pedicures start from £22 which I think is totally reasonable and Nice Nails Baby also offers a wide range of other beauty treatments including manicures, eye lash extensions, eyelash tinting, and brow tinting and waxing. They also offer package deals for a number of treatments which is great if you are getting ready for a special event or holiday. There is also a Nail party service where they can come to your house and pamper you and your friends which I thought was an excellent idea for a girly evening.

Afro Hair & Beauty LIVE 2015

Ever since I was young Afro Hair and Beauty LIVE was the place to see and be seen.

Having long since moved from Alexandrea Palace to it new home at the Business and Design centre in Islington the land scape of the event has some what changed, black women are now embarrassing their natural beauty, braids afros, twist outs dreads Yesss honey that’s what’s up1 not shade to the weave and relaxer wearers out there Afro Hair and Beauty LIVE 2015 is dedicated to the celebration of choice, whether you rock the natural, relaxed or a weaved look, you will find a product or service to suit your needs!

And indeed there was. The main stage had a jam-packed line-up of dancer’s singer’s demonstrations and catwalk shows to entertain the eager crowed and workshops took place throughout the day.

Venders included the usual suspects ORS, Cream of Nature, Mixed Roots Keracare and Beautiful Textures which included demonstrations from the hair whisperer herself Felicia Leatherwood.

WAHLS’ famous Battle of the Barbers competition was in full effect and saw barbers from across the country competing to be crowned KING BARBER and the Avant Garde competition displayed an array of eclectic creations.

Creative fashion catwalk show feature designers such as MAM MAW, ASO GLOBAL, PIECES BY KEKE, I-KOLLECTION, HONEY MALAOLU and if you looked closely you may have noticed some of the finalist from Top Model of Colour rocking the runway.

Now I don’t know about you but one of the main reasons I go to Afro Hair & Beauty Live is for the new products! I want to know what is hop and popping and I was not disappointed this year ORS featured two new ranges that were added to their portfolio Shealicious and Monoi Oil range and I was also told by the reps that they had made changes to the Curls unleased range.

I was also able to talk to the reps from new kids on the block CANTU which sold out of its Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque during The Natural Hair Week so you know I had to get my hands on it!

Balmain and H&M Collaboration

News broke last night that H&M's newest designer collaboration will be with none other than the French fashion house Balmain.

Last night hints of a possible collaboration was made via the twitter pages of Rousteing and his famous friends, in the form of a selfie posted by Kendal Jenner with Rousteing and model Jourdan Dunn at the Billboard Awards with a caption reading "We have some news" and links to Balmain and H&M.

cq5dam.web.1920.1280 1

The collection will feature men and women's wear and is expected to hit the stores on the 5th November 2015 in around 250 stores worldwide and online.

Hopefully the collection will have all the high end edgy sophistication of Balmain with a more affordable price tag.

I suggest Balmain fans set there alarm clocks as this collection is likely to sell out quickly

Are you ready for the #HMBALMAINATION?

The Natural Hair Week London 2015

The Natural Hair Week delivers informative seminars from qualified experts, interactive debates, creative hair demos and a platform for hair and beauty brands to sell products and services whilst connecting with their target audience.

The Natural Hair Week was launched in spring 2013 because it was felt that there was a lack of events celebrating natural afro hair and beauty across the UK.

The brainchild of Vinna Best of OfficiallyNatural and Diane Hall of I Grew It Long The Natural Hair Week has since seen over 3,000+ attendees in five major cities in the UK
I had heard good thing from friends that had previously attended The Natural Hair Week so I promised myself that this year I would attend the London event, which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square.

The venue was very nice and consisted of three large rooms, one of which housed the works shops and seminars while the other two had the many venders which included ORS, Motions to name few as well as product and hair styling demonstrations.

I was disappointed that I was unable to attend most of the seminars due me getting there quite late in the day but people I spoke to told me that they really enjoyed them.
I really enjoyed my experience at Natural Hair Week and I got to meet up with many natural hair bloggers and vloggers who I had been following for some time which was nice.

Be:fit London 2015

Over the Bank Holiday weekend i went along to Be:Fit London, the only women's fitness show in town!

I'm not exactly a health freak but i have been in the Gym recently trying to get sexy for the summer so I figured it worth coming down to see if I could get some tips.

I attended Be:fit London last year but other than that i am a Fitness expo virgin so i didn't know what to expect.
Last year I had a blast but the only complaint i had was there wasn't as much venders as I expected and the venue was kind of small (Even if it was nice to be by the river). That wouldn't be an issue this year as Be:fit was now in a new location the Design and Business centre; and I am happy to say there was loads of different brands to meet, as well as a wide range of fitness classes to join in, expert talks, cooking demos, etc.

I loved that there was also dedicated chill-out areas, where you could go hang out and regroup when it gets a bit too over whelming.

In all I had a lovely time but I wish I allowed myself more time there as there was so much to see, taste, and demo.

Did you get to attend Be:fit London over the weekend?

Grazia & Diane von Furstenberg Event

I had the pleasure of being invited down to the Diane von Furstenberg Bruton Street store celebrate Grazia magazine 10th university (Has it really been that long?) and the launch of DVF's new S/S14 collection.

Brittany Hampton and Jessica Joffe at the event

I have always been a fan of DVF even if it's a little out of my price range so it was nice to get a look at the colour collection pretty prints bright colours sooo DVF darling.

Attendees were treated to lovely nibbles, cocktails and champagne and the opportunity to socialise with the events co-hosts Global Brand Ambassador (and winner of House of DVF on E!) Brittany Hampton and style editor, Jessica Joffe.
DVF also had its very own very own glittery photo booth for attendees to get their vogue on.

Thanks Grazia and DVF for having me.

London Collections: Men - The designers

Private White VC –LCM AWI5

Day one of LC:M is nearly over and Private White VC's 'The Last Man standing'. Presentation was a lovely end to a hectic day. Models on podiums dressed in truly British heritage wear greeted attendees live weavers and seamsters were in store demonstrating the skill and craftsmanship that the brand prides itself on along with the fact that all PWVC collections are entirely made in their Manchester factory sourcing their fabrics within the same county.

Hentsch Man - LCM AW15

A disused sex shop in the heart of Soho (why do I know that?) Provided an interesting back drop for the Hentsch Man - LCM AW15 presentation and the sounds of James Brown 'Sex Machine' was the icing on the cake for the tongue in cheek brand.

Created in 2008 as the result of a long search for the perfect white shirt Hentsch Man quickly evolved into an uber-cool menswear brand offering a diverse range of wardrobe essentials.

The casual fashions of 90's grunge seemed to collide with the 1960s Mod subculture and then rules were thrown out of the window flannels, bandanna prints along with a funky colour pallete sets the tone for a fun and wearable collection.

Maharishi- LCM AW15

I am not normally the biggest fan of utilitarian chic however I appreciate this offering from street wear designers Maharishi entitled "The path to Stealth and The Five Pointillist Styles of Chi Gung Fu"

Dramatic while still being wearable this collection seemed popular among attendees. Consisting of mostly black , dark greys camouflages with pops of blue, orange and cranberry red this collection was muted in colour but very rich in texture which include quilting, furs, leather and kits.
Italian fashion brand Roberto Cavalli has announced that 'Cash Money' artist Nicki Minaj is the face of its new SS15 advertising campaign.

Roberto Cavalli commented: "I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves, rather she make them as a strength".
The campaign was shot in Los Angeles by photographer Francesco Carrozzini.

Well done Nicki!
The Modern Society which already boasts a global series of pop-up boutiques offering hand-picked and carefully curated unique lifestyle products from across the world, has once again teamed up with SUITCASE Magazine to present winter SUITCASE pop-up and to bring consumers a creative Christmas shopping experience.

The shop was situated at 175 Fulham Road and on entering i instantly felt calm and relaxed instead of stressed and rushed like i did when i attempted to purchase Christmas gifts the previously day at my local shopping centre.

On the ground floor were contemporary gifts from up-and-coming British brands complete with a stocking filler sections and wrapping station, beautiful items which could easily cater to all your high end Christmas needs.

There was also a chill out zone where you could sit back, relax, charge up your phone and replenish yourself with coffee and snacks (well shopping is a hard job you know) or even purchase some artwork.

Last but not least was the secret winter grotto which served bespoke cocktails made from Martin Miller's gin.

Shoppers can take comfort in the knowledge that they are not only supporting young talent, but also buying items from sustainable brands. A portion of the funds collected will also go towards UNICEF next generation's Syria relief fund.

Imogen Belfield collaborates with MADE

Imogen Belfield Jewellery confirms collaboration with fashion forward ethical brand MADE.
I had the pleasure of being invited to the unveiling of the new jewelry collection by the ethical and fair-trade jewelry and accessories brand Made and British jewelry designer Imogen Belfield called Made hand made in Kenya.

Widely considered to be one of the top, up and coming jewellery talents that London has seen in recent years and can boast celebrity fans such as Beyonce, Rihanna and Jessie James Imogen Belfield was very personable and happy to discuss her collaboration with Made and the trip to Kenya that inspired the collection.

I instantly fell in love with Imogen Belfield's hand crafted creations which has evolved from Imogen's previous collections which mostly features a color pallet of gold's, silvers bronzes etc. This time round the metallic are complemented with bold traditional colors of greens, reds blues and greens and with the organic shapes in my opinion has a slightly indigenous feel it.

I love the fact that the unusual trinkets featured in the collection were locally sourced and made using various techniques that the Kenyans have used for decades as well as modern day techniques.

Made hand made in Kenya will be available for purchase from MADE

Hamilton and Hare launch their new Lombard

Recently British brand Hamilton and Hare launch their new Lombard collection of men's tailored briefs.

Hamilton and Hare is the brainchild of Olivia Francis, who was inspired to create a line of high end well-tailored mends undergarments after a discussion with her bothers in which they complained about there not being any flattering underwear for men on the market.

Following the success of the Piccadilly the Lombard collection of tailored boxer shorts are made from the 100% cotton with Mother of pearl buttons, gusset contrast detailing and available in a range of sophisticated colors' and of course has the Hamilton & Hare signature tailored inspired by Savelle Row tailoring which affords the wearer with more flattering and comfortable fit and comes packaged in a very snazzy wash bag.

Ladies I promise you will love you will love your men in these.

Underwear by Hamilton & Hare start from £38.50 and is stocked in Selfridges and Wolf & Badger and the Hamilton & Hare website.

Furry nails what are your thoughts?

I'm on the fence with this one guys.

Glitter, spikes, diamonds when it came to nail fashion I thought I had seen it all now high street beauty brand MUA Makeup Academy has introduced a DIY fuzzy manicure kit, so you can add a bit of texture to your manicure.
Seems like a good idea but I'm not too sure how practical it is.

What are your thoughts?

Fur Effect Nails are available on the MUA Makeup Academy website
Face dull winter mornings with Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Instant Radiance

I was introduced to this product at Rimmel London's Press Lounge during London Fashion week and at first it didn't move me.

At the advice if one of the makeup artists I applied it under my eyes before applying concealer and it immediately brightened up my face.

I similar to the Touché Éclat by YSL this product seems to captures the light to illuminate any part of your complexion banishing signs of fatigue and fading out imperfections but at £4.99 is much more value for money.

Treat your feet with Upperstreet

My shopping peeve is nowing what you want but not being able to find it, Ie looking for that perfect killer heels to mactch that freakem dress or seeing a shoe and thinking that would look better in I different colour, with a jewel, in a diffrent matreal.

As consumers we have defiatly become more picky and know excatly what we want, it is now down to retailers to keep up with us instead of dictating what we should be buying.

One company that definatly understands the woman who knows exactly what she wants is Upperstreet.com, Founded by Katy Chandler and Julia Grinham in 2010.

2010 Upperstreet gives women the opportunity to design their own pair of beautiful, hand-made shoes online at affordable prices.

I had tried out the website some time ago and found it very simple to use and pleasing to the eye but can't remember why I dint go through with my purchase. I have since had another looked at the website and noticed they have since added more style, colours, materials and finishes to their already impressive catalogue and for those that don't feel comfortable designing shoes alone Upperstreet.com offer a great customer service during and after your purchase which includes: personalised swatch books, free alterations, free studio appointments, design advice create the perfect pump which comes in and beautiful packaging which includes a handwritten note.

Now what's the point of designing a wonderful exclusive shoe without being able to show off to your friends and colleagues?? The site now has a function in which you can tweet Facebook or email your chosen designs to your friends to get their approval or simply rub I their faces that you have a hot new pair of shoes and they don't.

During a conversation with Julia during London Fashion week I asked if there was ever any issues with women designing and purchasing the same shoe (Massive faux pas) and she advised me that this rarely happens as the Upperstreet.com customer wants something beautiful and unique to herself and defiantly doesn't want to have the same thing as her peers.

One I designed earlier

Silver snake skin peep toe court shoe with a platform and Gold leather lining £300.00

Did I mention that Upperstreet.com have a no quibble returns policy?

Trend alert Wedge

Trainers what are your thoughts?

I am still undecided about what I am guessing is an Olympic inspired trend Wedge Trainers...
Isabel Marant BIRD WEDGE SNEAKERS £435.00

In the world of the uber trendy Wedge Trainers seem to be well received, street style magazines and blogs seem to be full of noted fashion bloggers, writers and fashionistas rocking the trend however I have yet to see your average Tammy on the high street wearing them.

Topshop ATHLETE Wedge Heel Trainers Price: £75.00

I also question if the trainer wedges can get around the no trainer rules enforced by most nightclubs (Well they are heels).

In conversations I have had mixed responses, I guess like Marmite you either love em or hate em.

Russell & Bromley Jetstream £295
