Happy feet

Ok so our feet is always last on the list of beauty to-do's and especially because we are still stuck in boots and closed shoes, due to winter still hanging around. But as we are nearing the end of May and summer looming, why not take the plunge and make your feet happy with a DIY Pedicure.

Start by soaking your feet in some warm water with lemon juice. This is help to clear up any stains on your toes, for tired feet add some Epson salt. Grab a magazine, while you're soaking your feet, to catch up on some summer fashion trends. Remember to remover old nail polish before you soak your feet. This is also the best time to cut and file your nails, as soak left them soft making it easier to cut and shape them.

The soak will leave your feet nice and soft. Now for the scrub part, I prepared a Vanilla scented sugar scrub, this will take off any dead skin on your feet. Remover hard calluses and smooth out heels with a pumice stone or scraper.

Vanilla scented sugar scrub – mix sugar with olive/baby oil and add vanilla extract

Olive oil is my choice of moisturiser cover your feet with this moisturizer and then put a pair of fluffy socks on to let it all soak in.

Now all that is left is to paint your toe nails, I picked Hot pink- PS ILOVEYOU range, available at Primark. Do not forget to put a base coat especially if you are using a dark colour to avoid staining.

If like me you are a fan of flip flops and bare feet during the summer months then try and do a DIY pedicure at least once a week. Or if you prefer the salon make sure to go regularly because our feet are much more exposed during the summer months so make sure to keep them looking good throughout the season.

Now that your feet are happy Show them OFF !!! Mine absolutely need some sun
