This weekend I am heading up the hair and makeup team at the annual Mahogany Bridal show taking place at The Grand Connaught Rooms in central London. Brides to be swam in from across the UK to attend this event that not only caters for the tradition bride but also the fashion conscious bride looking for a one off unique gown. The fashion show is always a special moment for guests as they witness the luxurious gowns in the flesh. My job is to make sure that the models showcasing these unique designer gowns look as beautiful as the gown itself.

The Look

Brides to be almost always opt for a natural, flattering makeup look that's pretty, elegant, sophisticated and brings out their best features on their special day. It is important as a makeup artist to understand the art of makeup. A woman’s wedding day is one of the most important days of her life, she puts her trust into the makeup artist to make her look her very best for her groom.

My Magic Product

As with any makeup look I do, whether it be a bride, a model an actress I always use one eye palette as a base.

Dior Eye Reviver

This is one of my favourite products in my pro kit and having only owned it around 6 months I sometimes wonder how I survived without it. It will be the only palette I need at the weekend to create stunning eye makeup added with a highlighting pigment.. The palette is like magic – containing a powder primer, 4 neutral eyeshadows and a cake eyeliner, the luminous neutral shades create a radiance of flawless eye makeup instantly brightening the eyes and making them look wider while creating perfect contouring structure. The results are beautiful.
