BUKKI is an ethnic/80's inspired label for both women and men's wear, originated from a fresh take on contemporary designs, using a mixture of bold African Fabrics with vintage denim pieces. The spring/summer collection "AFRO" was born from deep inspirations of Africa and the 80's period intertwining the hip/old school character with traditional African prints. The founder and designer "Bukki Ojo" started the line in July 2011, having the intention to bring African fabrics to a whole new environment. Where customers could experience the tropical patterns in a more grungy/vintage route. BUKKI seeks to combine clashing cultures with an influence of past decades.

AFRO is the very first collection BUKKI has produced. Its an all old school vintage denim collection appreciating the 80's culture as well as stamping Africa all over it, through constant patch work of the ethnic patterns running through out the collection.

Denim on Denim was chosen to be the theme of her first collection as Bukki sees denim as timeless products, also a major fashion trend in the 80's. She desires for AFRO to be remembered, and not for it to be just a "collection" but appreciated products that can relate to ongoing high street trends. Bukki believes that AFRO is chance for Africa to be embraced in the world of retail. For viewers, customers and fashion followers to appreciate the traditional Africa in a more fashion forward route.

Emerging designer Bukki will be showcasing at Fashions Finest London Fashion week show 18 - 19 Westbury Hotel Conduit Street, Mayfair, London.
