How many Cola bottles, the plastic wraps, and aluminium cans of your favourite drink, the shells of scallops or mussels on the beach or on the table of restaurant do we see every day? We may carefully recycle them or may just throw in the bin, but some designers will create unusual works of art. One of those is Svetlana Bryukhanova the owner of label Gruni.

From everyday objects like plastic wraps, soft drink cans, bark of the fallen tree she will produce the most unexpected product – The hat!

On the way to visit Museo Picasso Malaga she would ask to pick up a piece of Spanish palm bark, a gardener would offer her to take the whole tree! So she has created a delicate hat with the wavy bark and wool of Scottish sheep and feathers of peacock.

Svetlana has created her most controversial hat "The Lizard" made of aluminium cans and packaging of Christmas cards. If you look at the hat you will get the impression as lizard is alive.

As well as hats Svetlana designs dress and as designer Svetlana is trying to convey the idea that we should dispose of rubbish wisely so that it does not pollute the planet but rather transform into something beautiful.

Gruni will be presenting her collection of sustainable hats and fascinators at Fashions Finest London Fashion week show 18 - 19 Westbury Hotel Conduit Street, Mayfair, London.
