After that he came to United Kingdom and studied Fashion Knitwear design at Nottingham Trent University where he continued his studies and completed his MA Fashion Knitwear Design. As a Fashion designer he describes his style as "Techno-Grunge", a combination of techno and grunge influences. He uses Techno elements inspired by futuristic images.

He also uses textures and repeatable patterns to provoke a sense of order, streamlined and infinite. He incorporates Grunge elements inspired by decayed and dark images as well as rusty, ragged and deconstructed objects. It is Motohiro's aim to create a new style by combining these elements.
