Burberry has given the fashion world the gift of "Scottish spun cashmere" and beautiful "sheer English lace" for Spring/ Summer 2014.
The "muted pastels" and "painterly tones" portray a very feminine and soft outfit yet the 'boyfriend blazer' adds a 'coolness' that Burberry loves to throw in.
This collection brings us upmarket casual that crawled through the chic tunnel and skipped over the bold neon colours that we have been recently loving; thus producing classy midi skirts that truly are pretty and adorable patterns skimming down perfectly tapered lengths. I love the metallic green skirt in particular; it is almost a mint colour but with a bit more flavour and a wonderful design running down it.
The men's collection is very preppy but I love the thick blazer jackets and shirts really emphasising the masculinity of the shape through the soft shades of pink and powder blue. Their bags are so very smart but not overly so that you can't keep simply a sandwich and your wallet within. The gentle shades of brown are perfect and lungful of fresh air from the harsh leathers and deep, dark colour palette from over Winter.
