Stars attend a VIP fashion show, hosted by Sadie Frost and Marie Claire's editor in chief Trish Halpin.
Part of a two day extravaganza created by leading names from the world of fashion, including Marie Claire, my-wardrobe.com & Storm, the VIP fundraiser was held at London's stunning One Mayfair to celebrate Rainbow Trust's 25th Anniversary.
Stars at the glittering event included Hollywood actress Brigitte Nielsen, Jo Wood, supermodels Liberty Ross and Poppy Delevigne and radio and TV presenter Sarah Cawood. OK!TV's Lizzy Cundy, Lydia Bright from The Only Way Is Essex, TV presenter, actress and model Zara Martin and Blogstar and model Bip Ling also enjoyed the fashion spectacle.
The catwalk show which featured an exclusive auction of fashion pieces donated by some of the world's leading fashion houses, including couture dresses, bags, shoes and jewellery from the likes of Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Alberta Ferretti, Temperley London, Jenny Packham, Salvatore Ferragamo, Stella McCartney, Katherine Elizabeth Millinery, Marni, Mulberry, Mary Katrantzou, Longchamp, Stefanel and Erdem.
The VIP event is followed by a huge sample sale taking place today (THURS 30TH JUNE) with hundreds of top brands at amazing prices, and will be attended by Storm's top model scouts searching for the next new face.
The Trust in Fashion event is the first of its kind for Rainbow Trust, which supports families of children battling a life threatening or terminal illness.
Supermodels Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevigne were part of the stunning catwalk show produced by Lesley Goring, with looks styled by Marie Claire Fashion Editors Holly Welch and Lucia Debrieux. Clothes were provided by my-wardrobe.com, Bodyamr and Kruszynska and featured models from the world famous Storm. The show's finale featured an explosion of colour as models paraded in evening wear in every colour of the Rainbow, to honour its special beneficiary.
The exclusive evening, managed by Sketch Events, was co-hosted by Sadie Frost and Marie Claire Editor in Chief Trish Halpin, with guests enjoying food and drink laid on by HT & Co, Perrier Jouet and Yo Sushi.
L'Oréal Paris make-up artist Florrie White and her team created two different make-up looks on the models last night; a natural sun kissed look and a strong eye and lip.
Speaking on the evening Trish Halpin, a Rainbow patron for more than six years, said:
"Nobody can imagine being told their child may die before them. Such news shocks the whole family to the core and turns their life upside down. Suddenly families find that their world revolves around hospital visits, medications, meetings with specialists - this all becomes part of daily life.
"In the midst of this are healthy brothers and sisters – wondering what has happened, unsure where their brother or sister is, and anxious because their parents are crying, or angry or absent. And through all this there are life's essentials: work to get to, meals to cook, the school run and homework. Rainbow Trust steps into the midst of this chaos, talking to parents to see what help they need and to support the whole family - both emotionally and practically.
"Rainbow Trust can't change the diagnosis, or the treatment, but they can help the family to cope. They help everyone feel that just for a while they can be 'normal' again
"As a mother of twins, I am very lucky never to have had to call on Rainbow's services, but there are plenty of families like mine that have. And sadly there are even more families that Rainbow could help so every donation really does count."
Mother-of-four Sadie Frost said: "I am incredibly excited to have been involved with this event to help raise money for such a worthwhile cause.
"It has to be every parent's worst nightmare to find out their child is seriously ill and it is something most of us can't even begin to imagine, which must make fundraising for such causes really difficult, as many people just want to push it away.
Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm, also pledged full support of the event, with the agency adopting Rainbow Trust as one of their official charities this year.
The two day event will help raise vital funds for the charity which provides a lifeline to families facing the unimaginable ordeal of caring for a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Rainbow Trust's family support workers join families in their own homes to provide consistent, practical and emotional support during, what many Rainbow families describe as, their darkest hours. Rainbow carers are contactable 24 hours a day for families in crisis from diagnosis, through treatment and even after bereavement.
30th June – Sample Sale
The sample sale features celebrity DJs, a cocktail bar, bespoke nail art by Boom Nails and model scouting by Storm. Brands donating to the sale include Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Tom Ford, Jaeger, Benefit Cosmestics, Hummingbird Vintage, Whistles, Warehouse, Monsoon, Johnny loves Rosie, Fairground, Orion London, RetroSun, French Connection and Schuh.
Tickets prices are staggered throughout the day.
