The event was organised in aid of Save the Children, a leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need around the world. It has successfully established child sponsorship with the African nation, which struggles to provide families with access to clean water, sufficient food and HIV/AIDS education. America Ferrera who is an actress and supports the work of Save the Children said that “These are the places that really need assistance and these are the children that need us to find them.” As quickly and as effectively as Save the Children responds to tsunamis and civil conflict, it works poverty, hunger, illiteracy and disease and replace them with hope for the future.
All the proceeds raised at the night went to Born to Shine to help children overseas which were matched pound for pound by the UK government giving us a total of £1185.25.
