The first modelling agency for muslim ladies launches in New York.
27 year old, Nailah Lymus, born-and-bred New York Muslim is the founder of the Underwraps agency.

She said that she wished to bridge the gap between modesty and fashion.

'(Muslim models) come from a background where they dress islamically appropriate, but to be in this industry and to be a model you kind of have to forfeit that'

'That's why I wanted to start this agency, so you don't have to do that. You don't have to lose who you are to be in this business.'

A New York based fashion and entertainment lawyer, Mohammed Shariff, went along to the launch to support Underwraps, but he also saw this as a business opportunity, 'when I saw this I thought it was a perfect fit for muslims and non-muslims who don't want to be so revealing. I know we're going to start catering for this international market in America, whether It's at Neiman Marcus or JC Penney' he says. "It's happening"
