Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia has been closed in Moscow

From 22 to 26 October 2014 over 90 designers from Russia, Spain, Italy, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine
and other countries have demonstrated their Spring-Summer 2015 collection at the Central Exhibition Venue Manezh.

Traditionally Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, the major Russian fashion event, presented runway shows from the distinguished Russian designers: Alena Akhmadullina, SLAVA ZAITSEV, Viva Vox, IGOR GULYAEV, Dasha Gauser, Julia Dalakian, PIROSMANI BY JENYA MALYGINA, Laroom, BIRYUKOV, Tegin, ESTER ABNER, ZARINA&Natalia Vodianova, Yulia Nikolaeva, Elena Souproun, RIA KEBURIA, Yasya Minochkina and many others.

Every year Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia supports talented Russian designers giving them opportunity to win a reputation in the world. The catwalk of the major professional fashion week in the Eastern Europe saw the first outings of the brightest emerging designers: Aleksander Khrisanfov, OFERA by Oksana Fedorova, 075/ohseventyfive, Cap America, Bella Potemkina. Among other young brands that delivered collections at the fashion week were: Osome2some, Mineral Weather, Vika Smolyanitskaya, Sol', Lovelies by LT.
Opening of the 29th season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was particularly unique for the Zaitsev fashion dynasty. Right after the fashion show from SLAVA ZAITSEV new collections were presented by Yegor Zaitsev and Maroussia Zaitseva. The first day was continued by the press-briefing with Slava Zaitsev and Maroussia Zaitseva; designers shared with the journalists their secrets about the history of making the spring-summer collections and about their plans for future.

On 23 October ZARINA&Natalia Vodianova brand delivered their capsule collection. Special guest of the show was the well-known top-model and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova, she announced the collaboration of Zarina brand and Naked Hearts foundation. ZARINA brand actively supports charity projects and specially for the spring-summer collection designed fluid dresses and tops with prints that were painted by kids with disabilities. Part of the funds earned on sale of the collection will be contributed to the Naked Hearts foundation.

On 26 October Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia and Instagram arranged the first official InstaMeet in Russia. The event brought together fashion-bloggers, it-girls and popular instagramers. They had the chance to meet each other, communicate and promote Russian fashion. Guests of #russianfashionmeet met with Kristen Joy Watts (@kjwww) – fashion-director of Istagram who specially came to Russia to attend this meeting. During #russianfashionmeet guests of the event visited the most attractive places of GUM (Major Department Store), they were making pictures and listening to interesting facts about the store. Kristen Joy Watts had time to share her experience of arranging similar events internationally and expressed the hope to carry on partnership between Instagram and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.

The key element of the international part of the program at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was the world's first presentation of pret-a-porter collection by Tony Ward. Before creating his own brand Tony Ward worked with such fashion Houses as Lanvin, Dior and Chloe. Today he is the top-ranked haute couture designer.

This season fashion illustrators from different parts of the world spent five day at Manezh venue to turn the brightest moments of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia into beautiful sketches. Megan Morisson, Yelena Bryksenkova, Je Sul Kim are some of the most renowned fashion-illustrators in the world. They work with the leading fashion editions (New York Times,, Vogue Korea) and brands (M Missoni, Urban Outfitters, Lord&Tailor, Bloomingdale's). They translated the most memorable images of MBFW Russia, front-row guests and backstage into their magnificent illustrations.

Worldly acknowledged street-style photographers Diego Zuko (Harper's Bazaar USA) and Adam Katz Sinding (, Le 21em) arrived in Moscow to capture the beautifully-dressed guests of MBFW Russia.
The 29th season Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia also presented the business program which mainly focused on sharing experience with young Russian designers including knowledge and practical skills about launching and promoting the brand. Schedule of the business program included lectures from Russian and world experts. Among major topics – How to Present Fashion Line to Buyers, How to Create Commercially Sound Collection and other key compounds of developing the fashion brand.

One of the most unexpected surprises at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was master class from one of the greatest contemporary perfumers Cristophe Laudamiel – creator of ordors for Houses Burberry, Abercrombie&Fitch, Estee Lauder, Ralph Lauren and many other brands.

The new season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia was also highlighted by press-briefings with Oksana Fedorova who was presenting her brand OFERA, designer Eugene Malygin (brand PIROSMANI) and blog-talk with Youtube-blogger Sonya Esman – author of Conde Nast's Canadian platform Fashionation TV, international Skype fashion ambassador and model of the world's fashion agencies. Her Youtube-channel Classisinternal collects 70 million views monthly.

The final day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia started with the Kids Fashion Festival supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Festival embarced such events as runway show from Detsky Mir, educational flash mob arranged by the Music School of Lina Arifulina, collective show of kids apparel from such designers as: Polina Golub, Lena Karnauhova, АСh Factory, Anna Chakvetadze, designer Eugenia Lazareva with the brand MAMANONSTOP, Yulia Karchenkova, Margarita Bykovskaya, BORODULIN'S.

In the new season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Oleg Ovsiev and his brand Viva Vox delivered the new collection. The grand closing of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russian was the bright show from designer Igor Gulyaev that made a boom among the numerous guests of the runway show.
MBFW Russia made the biggest hit online: 20 thousand check-ins on Foursquare, over 6 thousand pictures in Instagram with hashtag #MBFWRussia, numerous video pieces from leading international mass media including FashionTV, Vogue Brasil,,Condé Nast Live!, FASHION WIRE PRESS, Harper's Bazaar and many others. This season live broadcast was availabe not only on the official website of the Week but also on official pages #MBFWRussia in Instagram, Facebook, Vkontakte and Twitter. Number of followers on the official page of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in Instagram has increased by several times.
