Cambrensis February 2024

Cambrensis (meaning ‘Of Wales’ in Latin) is a men’s apparel brand established in 2022. The fashion house born in Wales, focuses on the making of exclusive garments created using specialist fabrics and pigments.

The Cambrensis icon which features a ‘Cambrian Type No.1 Miners Safety Lamp’ represents the history of the country from where we draw our inspiration. All our garments are made in limited-edition batches, with every collection named after a place of significance in Wales. The brand believes in a timeless, less seasonal approach both in attitude and design, to eliminate waste.

The design, fabric and pigment of each garment are created in South Wales by loan Bowen-Pickett before being made responsibly at our workshops.
Introducing ‘Merthyr’ SS24

The collection is named after the South Wales town of Merthyr Tydfil, which was once known as the ‘Iron Capital of the World’, due to the scale of its iron production in the early 19th century. ‘Merthyr’ SS24, is represented by Richard Trevithick’s ‘Catch Me Who Can’ steam railway locomotive, which was an evolution of three earlier locomotives that had been built for the likes of Penydarren Ironworks in Merthyr Tydfil.
