TheVWL

This season, TheVWL wanted to give a very clean and comforting feeling to their collection with oversize basic shapes. In line with their ethics, all pieces are made from certified environmentally friendly materials, PETA approved, vegan and certified eco-sustainable.

Are vegan basics hard to find? TheVWL revisited everyday go-to to make them modern and edgy by changing proportions: uniforms for a vegan generation.

Transforming rather than changing. TheVWL do not want to change their spirit every season, but to make it evolve slowly toward a modernist wardrobe of basics and unique small batch production street-style designs.

TheVWL's Autumn/Winter 2022 Vegan Collection: Concepts

Modern inside, TheVWL A/W22 collection has a nod to the Ancient Mayan culture which developed the science of astronomy, calendar systems, and hieroglyphic writing. They were also known for creating elaborate ceremonial designs inspired by nature which inspired TheVWL’s embossed flower designs amongst others. This collection is transforming the dark ordinary into bright modernity. TheVWL designers are not pretending to invent but to transform what people like to wear to make it look better.

TheVWL: About the Brand

TheVWL, TheVeganWayofLife, is a vegan brand that is redefining California's nature-infused, urban casual style with sport’s inspired details and fine atelier work. Launched in 2021, TheVWL label was born from a Los Angeles-based collective of designers to create the ultimate casual elevated vegan label. TheVWL's aesthetic and design language is rooted in hybridisation design, between sport and daily casual sophistication. They work with certified environmentally friendly materials, PETA-approved, vegan and certified eco-sustainable. They elevate the modern casual look, perfecting the balance of design and function to create the ultimate everyday sneaker and apparel collections. The collections embody the California lifestyle involved in wellness and sustainability: everyday key items that are cool, comfortable, and respectful of the planet. TheVWL define a new zone where urban codes and visual art are in open discussion: inventing concepts and imagining tomorrow for a new generation.

The VWL A/W22: About the Collection

Sophistication with no compromise on comfort. This season the Californian collective is pushing forward the concept of hybridisation to create a conversation between casual and sophistication, mixing low and high vibes. The new casual will become the everyday outfit with its bold and luxurious details. Casual streetwear is no longer casual and becomes a functional formal. Comfortable, oversize uniforms for a vegan generation, all vegan generations.

Mixing refined details on functional products results in a new way to level up a modern casual wardrobe. With Ivy League-inspired details combined with fine atelier work details, TheVWL create bridges between the present and tomorrow. The brand wanted to conceive a collection that will transform casual streetwear into dressy and luxury items. The Autumn/Winter 2022 capsule collection is all about details and opposition between low and high, a connector between casual life and socialite activities. This is what young people want today, a versatile collection that can be worn every day easily and for any purpose with a strong outlook toward mixity.

TheVWL's Core Values and Commitments for the Planet

TheVWL collective is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. The brand and the designers aim to awaken people's consciousness on environmental matters. TheVWL products are mainly made of certified vegan materials, recycled, organic, and free from harmful substances: proudly and actively part of the change of the fashion industry towards a cleaner planet.

TheVWL use bio-certifies eco leathers with PU made from a renewable source, where 48% of corn-based polyols content replaces petroleum-derived materials. This material is water-based and solvent-free, contributing to lower CO2 emissions.

Recycled polyesters are sourced from post-consumer plastic bottles; the yarn is produced through a non-chemical but mechanical process. This alternative textile as well is water-based and solvent-free, and its production lowers CO2 emissions by 50%.

To deliver its eco-conscious collection, TheVWL pack and ship sustainably by using 100% recycled cardboard and vegetable ink print.
