I was invited to sample several products that were both new and re launched items.
This range has several lip colours that could easily fit into the 2011 tribal and nude spring trends. My favourite was the Uruku Lip pigment full in Orellana Sun. This retails at 11.00 GBP and comes in 2 finishes and six shades.
Every brand has a must have "It" product and for Aveda its their New Colour options eye shadow transformer retailing at 22.50 GBP. Aveda promises this little gem will take your eyes from "work to happy hour". The liquid transforms powder eye shadows into liquid liner or intense cream shadow for a cleaner ,glossy finish.
Just in time for summer ,Aveda has given all girls that want to give "shine-free face" a way forward. The Inner Light loose Powder retailing at 19.50 GBP offers translucent coverage with a matte finish whilst it helps to control breakthrough oil to prevent shine.
Overall the collection had several highlighted pieces that, in my opinion, will appeal to the masses. I was generally happy with the presentation of the product and how well the colours complimented the new spring trends.
As a woman of colour my only concern was that the foundation and base products were very limited to lighter skin tones. I discussed this with an Aveda representative who shared my view however was not able to comment on if darker shades would become available.
The Aveda Mission is to Care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. Aveda strives to set an example of environmental leadership and responsibility, not just in the world of beauty but around the world.

I attended the Aveda Make Up Press Day in Holborn. The event took place in the calm and relaxing surroundings of the Academy at the Aveda institute.
