Repcillin Crocodile Oil Balm is said to help people who suffer with eczema, acne, razor burn, bumps, bed sores, nappy rash, itchy scalp, psoriasis, sunburn, blisters and insect bites.
Once upon a time not so long ago lavender was associated with ladies that had a few more years on their clock.
DR. PAW PAW is a product that I cannot live without in my pro kit and also my handbag. My skin becomes dry, dehydrated and tired with cracked lips very easily due to the lack of sleep and long working days. Luckily for me my long working days see me playing with makeup and beauty products and whilst doing so I found this amazing product.
Having first used it in Marbella borrowed from a fellow makeup artist working alongside me, I used the original balm on the eyelids to create a glossy eye. The normal go to glosses and balms couldn’t cope with the heat and just melted away. Dr Paw Paw saved my makeup look that day.
When arriving back in the UK I soon purchased the original balm and now I use it not only on myself everyday but also on all my models and clients.
I was soon quick to discover that this magic balm was in fact like magic. The ingredients are natural with the main one being Pawpaw, followed by Olive oil and Aloe Vera Oil, blended together they create a miracle soothing and healing balm.
I use the balm on my lips daily and re apply as needed throughout the day. The balm leaves them soft and well moisturised without any stickiness or cracking from the product. Once a week I also coat my face with a film of the original balm in the evening. I let the balm soak into my skin just as you would a moisturiser. The benefits show the following morning when I wake up with soft glowing skin.
As well as using the balm on myself, all my wonderful clients also benefit. Before any makeup application I prep the skin and lips. I always use Dr Paw Paw to prep the lips. This ensures the perfect soft lips required before I go on to apply lip colour. I also use the original balm to set eyebrows. Apply a small dot of product onto a clean mascara wand or eyebrow comb and simply stroke the product through the brows for perfect in place brows all day.
A new technique that I tried last week and absolutely loved was using the pink peach tinted balm as a blusher. I’m a big fan of cream based products over powder and was rather excited to see the fantastic results of the balm. So not only did my client have a pop of beautiful colour on her cheeks but I also knew that her skin was benefiting from the added moisture that Dr Paw Paw balms give.

There are many things that shock me in life but not hearing about Egyptian Magic cream until this year has to be the most shocking as it has been available since 1991.
I would like to start the new year by sharing one of my most enjoyable highlights from last year.....Enjoy and don't forget to pop back next week to read all about my favourite beauty products entering 2016 with me.
In July 2015 I had the pleasure to travel to Florence Italy, to provide makeup and hair for an editorial shoot.
The concept of the shoot was to experience the unknown streets of Florence and experience it from the eyes of a local girl going about her day to day life and day dreaming about her dreams. This local girl, played by Charli, is able to keep her dreams alive of being a royal princess as well as showing her everyday life as she cycles down the street, takes a ride in her chariot or visits in a local park.
The era was not to be present day but a mixture of 50s, 40s and 20s. This was achieved by mixing up wardrobe, hair and make-up looks from the different eras to create our final look.

I love reviewing beauty product and when I was sent the Rossi Rice Bran & Borage Seed cleansing oil I couldn’t wait to try it out.
I have been using the cleansing oil now for one week as I think a week give your face time to get used to a new product. I like to keep my cleansing to a minimum so normally use two methods when washing my face 1. Wipes 2. Face wash and i usually find that neither removes fully every trace of makeup or daily grime. I don’t normally use a daily cleanser but getting used to adding this into my regime was a breeze especially when I saw how much more it cleaned my face and removed the last traces of makeup.
The oil comes in a lovely packaging and once opened it’s presented in a glass bottle with a pump. The consistency is a lovely and thick oil so you don’t need to use too much and it does not drip everywhere. My method was to massage the oil into my slightly damp face then remove with a damp cotton wool pad which left the face feeling great, totally clean, moisturised and hydrated all at the same time.
What gave the Rossi Rice Bran & Borage Seed cleansing oil extra bonus point for me was that it used 100% natural ingredients. It did have a slight unusual smell which I guess was from the bran but it still did not put me off.
Rossi Rice Bran & Borage Seed cleansing oil is a 100% natural cleanser that also includes avocado seed botanicals. More about the ingredients below:
Rice Bran Oil
- Light and easily absorbed
- Improves skin's elasticity, complexion and tone
- Includes squalene, gamma-oryzanol, beta-carotene, lycopene, co-enzyme Q10, polyphenol oxidase, calcium, potassium and magnesium
Borage Seed Oil
- Rich source of Gamma Linoleic Acid which aids in the maintenance of healthy skin
- Maintains suppleness and moisture content of skin
- Beneficial for treatment of dry skin conditions, inflammation and dermatiti
100% natural ingredients and no fragrance. No parabens, sulphates, petro-chemicals, PEGs, phthalates or plastic fillers.
I think the Rossi Rice Bran & Borage Seed cleansing oil is a great product and worth every penny but if you don’t want to take my word for it why not buy a bottle and try it out for yourself. The hydrating cleansing oil (100ml) retails at 14.95 which isn’t too pricy as it will last a long time if used wisely. You can get it from www.rossiuvema.com
Enjoy and happy cleansing with Rossi Uvema!

This is the season to party, and all those late night partying leaves your skin looking tired. And the last thing you want, waking up after a great night is tired looking skin. So why not let your products take the night shift. Why not give these products a try this party season?
A good night cream recovers and moisturizers. The new Miracle sleeping cream from Garnier does just that, with its self-smoothing texture it envelops the skin and visibly helps to reduce the signs of fatigue while you sleep.
For best results, especially during this crazy party season, use it every night for skin that looks refreshed and less tired.
Overnight mask is one of the best ways to wake up with beautifully refreshed skin. Garnier’s Miracle Wake Up Cream serves as an overnight mask. It re-awakens your skin revealing radiant, soft and youthful looking skin morning after morning.
“Remove all make-up & cleanse skin to wake up with well-hydrated skin”
As far as Serums goes the number one serum, for me will always be Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II. After the first night of using it you will wake up to more beautiful looking skin.
What an enjoyable few hours spent this evening at the Bare Mineral counter at House of Fraser Nottingham.
I braced the wintery weather and was warmly welcomed by the two hosts with a glass of bubbly and strawberries dipped in chocolate and a raffle ticket.
Guests were given an overview of some of the best Bare Mineral products and offers in the range which would make great gifts for Christmas for family and friends.
We were also able to see a demo of the products being applied to two of regular people, one young and one more mature. The looks were nice and natural and showing how just adding a little more colour, eyeliner and heavier mascara can transform the face from a day look to evening look using one simple pallet.
After the demo we were given the opportunity to test and purchase any product we wanted and with every purchase we received a raffle ticket to win one of the lovely gifts on offer. I purchased the mineral powder and stoke of light eyebrightner for darker skin tones which was nice and light but had good coverage. Just how I like it!
Tha raffel was finally drawn and i won two prizes one of which was possibly the best on the table. The prizes were - travel makeup brushes, a gold bag with mineral powder, lip gloss, eye shadow, eye shadow brush, eyeliner and a makeup brush.
Before the evening ended we were all presented with a Bare mineral goody bag which contained even more fabulous gifts to sample from other brands within House of Fraser such a perfumes, eyeliner, body wash mineral foundation to name a few.
To say this was a worthwhile and enjoyable experience is putting it lightly and I have lots of lovely products and gifts to try out over the next few months.
If you have never used Bare Mineral products I suggest you give them a try.
A big thank you goes out to the ladies who hosted the event and I look forward to attending another event again soon and telling everyone all about it.
