The first precision tweezers were developed to place ruby stones into watch movements and the rubis name is now synonymous with authentic Swiss quality.
I generally do not like the idea of drastically changing my appearance but when a friend, Kim, trainee Microblading therapist, asked me to be a model for her Microblading course I hesitantly said yes. Now I was not really blessed with full eyebrows but loved them none the less!! So although hesitant I agreed to undergo the treatment and was wonderfully surprised at the outcome. Because I now have eyebrows that you can actually see. So I am happy!!
So what is Microblading
Microblading is different from the permanent cosmetic tattoo as it is a more natural option that offers a semi-permanent result. The treatment is done with a pen-like tool that has 11 tiny needles at the tip. The therapist starts the treatment by numbing the skin with a numbing cream and once the skin is numbed she applies cosmetic -grade eyebrow dye. She then sweeps the dye pigment with her tool onto the brow area. The whole procedure takes two hours and you do feel a slight sting but no real pain.
After the first treatment you will have to wait for a period of four weeks to apply the second treatment. Now this is just to fill in any gaps and add a second color for dimension.
After the first treatment, your brows appear very dark and it is a bit of a shock if you are not used to full dark brows. After a couple of days of treating it with Vaseline, there is a slight scabbing but once healed you will see a definite but subtle difference.
So yes, I am defiantly loving my new eyebrows!!
The nice part is, that it is a low maintenance treatment, as after healing you can treat them just as your normal brows and no special care is needed other than staying out of the sun as this will fade the brows quicker. Therapist do recommend that you go back after one or two years for a touch up treatment.
Skin care regime can be tasking; and with the overload of information circling the Internet, it's hard to find the right stuff.
Solution: educate yourself and the skin care ingredients and their benefits. Like the body, the skin needs the right nutrients. We should take advantage of the information age, and know what we are feeding our skin. The Internet can be your best friend (if you use it properly).

Ever wondered why you get breakouts in the same areas? I know I have.
It's good fun being a makeup artist, trying and using so many beautiful skincare products but for the past month to 6 weeks I've been having a problem with my skin. No matter how well I look after it, I've still been getting breakouts. I couldn't work it out, I use the most beautiful skincare products daily, I drink bottles of water a day.. I've even been going makeup free. But I found that I was breaking out down the left side of face. I went to the doctors convinced it was a side effect of my medication.. Apparently not.
I started to search the Internet for clues and came across this image.
It suddenly made perfect sense. I've been having problems with my stomach, constantly bloated and in pain. I was surprised to see that according to this image the area I have been breaking out indicates I have problems with my stomach!!
Surprised even more, now that my stomach problems are starting to calm down so are my breakouts.
It seems to be correct for me... Is it for you?
