I am sure that you have noticed that everyone around you is going to the gym or is in some kind of fitness regime?
You can call it Activewear, Athleisure or sportswear but no one can deny the fact that it’s been on rise for a few years now and people are ready to move from usual fashion trends to Activewear especially in western countries. Initially, activewear was just present in the gyms, crossfit, dancing classes and yoga studios but it has now been present in almost everywhere.
There are many companies which are producing original and attractive activewear for both men and women, and world-class designers are using their creative designing skills to craft this new fashion trend in the world. Here are a few reasons as to why people are adapting to the activewear trend:
1. Activewear Are Colorful and Attractive
There was a time when clothing companies only design typical activewear which people wear while working out or going to the dance or yoga classes. However, today with the increasing interest of people in activewear trends, more and more colorful and exclusive activewear designs are becoming available in the market catching the attention of people.
2. The Status of Practical Market for Activewear
Those who still think that activewear does not have the capability to compete with usual fashion trends should see that according to a research report conducted by NPD, in August 2013, $36 billion sales for activewear and athletic footwear were recorded and the growth rate was up to 7 percent in 2013.
3. Activewear Offers You a Stunning and Charming Look
Who does not want to look good? Even today men want to look as good as women. Activewear are becoming popular especially among women as they offer them a stunning and charming appearance in front of others. It also allows them to feel good and happy.
People are always busy in search of better resources. Usual clothes are losing the charm they used to have in the past. Now people actually want something different and unique, which also has the potential to seek attention of other instantaneously and today activewear is the one of the best fashion trends people especially women are actively adapting. With more and more beautiful and innovative design availability of activewear, women prefer activewear over usual clothing.
4. Helping you to be in the Right Body Shape – The Motivating Factor
From day one, failing to follow a standard workout routine is one of the most common problems people face on regular basis. Although today workout has become cool for all of us and everyone wants to be get the right body shape all the time yet most of us are unable to follow what we are required to do for regular workouts. On the other hand, being in activewear all the time provides a kind of motivation for people and forces them to follow their daily routine. Moreover, it can also be used as a casual wear at any place.
Would you be willing to work out wearing a boring and same activewear all the time? Obviously, you won’t. You need motivation not only in your mind but also with a few external motivating factors and your activewear is one of them. Wearing colorful, charming and attractive activewears will definitely allow you to keep your motivation for workout and to be in the perfect body shape. So choose a fancy activewear which has pockets or have a spare jacket while working, so you can easily put your important belongings such as money, keys and smartphone. Don’t try to text or hold your belongings while working as it will distract your attention
It is not easy to ignore chapped lips and as the weather gets colder and the air drier they just get worse. Dry, flaky and even painful chapped lips are no joke so here are some simple ways to heal them and keep them moisturized.
Honey Lip Scrub
Honey locks moisture in to your skin, so a little honey combined with sugar and almond oil to exfoliate. Rub gently onto your lips as it moisturizes and takes off dead skin.
Fill up on water
Water is the best aid for dry, flaky lips because if you are hydrated, your lips will be too.
Brush your lips with a soft toothbrush
If you do not have lip scrub, then try a soft toothbrush to gentle exfoliate your lips once or twice per day.
If your lips are starting to get really cracked and painful, open up a vitamin E capsule and put a little bit of the gel right on the problem areas.
Go for natural lip balms
When buying a lip balm make sure that they contain coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter or beeswax to seal in moisture.
Take care before bedtime
Apply some coconut oil or even honey on your lips at night and wake up with soft and supple lips.
We all get super excited about the new year and our goal to get fit and healthy. We spend tons of money on fitness gear, clothes and gym memberships only to give it up come March.
So why not try something different to help you, keep it up!!
Kickstart your children’s confidence (if you have kids, if not your niece and nephews will do)
Do this by incorporating a physical activity into their everyday routine. It can be to play catch, dance while doing chores around the house, or a fun weekend activity like cycling or walks in the park. Exercise should be fun so turn it into a family activity rather than a chore.
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment. Pick an activity where you normally zone out and try to stay focused and in the moment while doing it. This is not easy but, it will contribute to a happier state of mind.
Find Your Fitness
Instead of investing in an expensive gym membership, buy a skipping rope, you can pick it up anytime during the day and skip for about 20 minutes it works the whole body or try a HIIT workout. Find some great workouts on Tone It Up

Take The Right Vitamin Supplements
Instead of buying up the whole health store, focus on what your body really needs. A multivitamin will top you up your health-supporting nutrients that are lacking from your diet. Omega-3 will boost your immune system. You can incorporate this through eating fish such as salmon and tuna.
Fill up during the day with fresh fruit and unsalted nuts.
Not getting enough sleep is bad for your skin, mental wellbeing, weight and immune system. Try to sleep for at least seven to eight hours a night. Create a routine by going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. Also try to switch your phone off before bedtime.
Invest In A Juicer Or Blender
Saving on a gym membership means you can invest in a good blender or juicer for healthy juices and smoothies. Combine your favorite fruits or try kiwi, banana, spinach, cucumber, ginger and lime for a nutritious drink.
The first day of the New Year we all make the resolution to stay fit. We do all the healthy eating and drinking for the first few months then we get bored off it. Come spring and we start to peel of the layers of winter and the looming of summer and that beach holiday, it becomes crunch time. With the bikini beach body becoming our goal so we try and fit in as much exercise and healthy eating as we can.
Some of my own favourite beach body workouts are from the Popsugar fitness channel on youtube www.youtube.com I love the high intensity 10 minute workouts that you can fit in any time of the day. Workout ranges from yoga, boot-camp workouts and HIIT workouts. You can easily fit these workouts in anytime of the day especially if you are on crunch time. I like to switch things up so I do not get bored so I focus on just arms for one week and then switch over to just legs and then a whole week of full body workouts and then adding in yoga for strength and stretching.
Get your bikini body on in Active wear from Forever 21, at least you will look good while building up a sweat
Another of my picks for post workout is Cleanse water
Benefits of Cleanse Water
• Lemon juice and cayenne pepper are both immune boosters and natural detoxifiers
• Lemons aid digestion, help fight hunger cravings, and help stimulate the liver to remove toxins
• Cayenne pepper helps the body sweat out toxins while improving blood and lymphatic circulation so your cells get more nutrients
I always start my workout with a cup (not a full cup as it can be a bit hot) of cayenne pepper on hot water then enjoy the lemon, ginger, cayenne pepper and honey mix throughout the day.
With summer just a few weeks away, here are some helpful tips for eating healthy at the office.
1. Go for water rather than coffee Swap H20 for Coffee, I suggest taking with you to work the cayenne pepper, honey and ginger water or make your own fruit infused water.
2. It is often just easier to eat at your desk when you are supper busy but never eat at your desk. You can never really enjoy your food and do not feel like you are eating so later on you reward yourself with something sweet and nice. Go sit in the office eating space or go out to the park that way you are adding some exercise by walking.
3. It's okay to have just that one sweet treat, because telling yourself that you cannot have it will just make you crave it more and its then that we overindulge. So have the one but only the one.
4. Pack your own lunch it will not just safe you money but as you are on crunch time you will make sure that it is healthy.
5. Snack on nuts like Pistachios as they will keep you full until home time.
Good luck ladies!! Crunch time is not what I would recommend for a fit and healthy summer body but every little helps. What is best, is just to stick to that New Year's resolution, keep fit and healthy throughout the year for a killer summer body.
Over the Bank Holiday weekend i went along to Be:Fit London, the only women's fitness show in town!
I'm not exactly a health freak but i have been in the Gym recently trying to get sexy for the summer so I figured it worth coming down to see if I could get some tips.
I attended Be:fit London last year but other than that i am a Fitness expo virgin so i didn't know what to expect.
Last year I had a blast but the only complaint i had was there wasn't as much venders as I expected and the venue was kind of small (Even if it was nice to be by the river). That wouldn't be an issue this year as Be:fit was now in a new location the Design and Business centre; and I am happy to say there was loads of different brands to meet, as well as a wide range of fitness classes to join in, expert talks, cooking demos, etc.
I loved that there was also dedicated chill-out areas, where you could go hang out and regroup when it gets a bit too over whelming.
In all I had a lovely time but I wish I allowed myself more time there as there was so much to see, taste, and demo.
Did you get to attend Be:fit London over the weekend?
What were your thoughts?
