The company's great idea of recycling the wardrobes of stylish ladies began back in 2008. With exclusive events set up were women could buy and sell the pre-loved contents of their enviable wardrobes to the public. The combination of amazing fashion, champagne, goody bags and makeovers, all in the city's most stylish locations was a huge success.

The amazing idea captured the London fashionista's and since then the company has gone from strength to strength with the opening of www.buymywardrobe.com, a chic online space where you can browse what's available by a particular category or by seller. The emphasis is on quality rather than quantity and seller memberships are only given out after being approved by the company's top style and fashion experts. Buyers can follow their favourite sellers for an easy way to keep up to date with new posts and newsletters and alerts make sure you never miss a thing. The website is super easy to use and is a great social media platform to meet likeminded people. Buymywardrobe also opened a pre-loved fashion boutique last year in London's West End so those of you who prefer to do your purchasing in person don't have to miss out!

My Morning at the Felicities PR Showroom

I was invited to attend a coffee morning with Felicities PR . The press event was held at the company's new location in Shoreditch, London. I arrived at the showroom on a windy, not to mention rainy Thursday morning. I was greeted with a hot cup of black coffee which I was very happy to see considering I was hardly awake.

Although the weather was responsible for my somewhat grumpy demeanor I am happy to say the PR girls were very bubbly and eager to show me around the showroom before I put my bag down. After putting away my umbrella and shaking off what was left of the artic chill I made my way around the beautiful displays. At first glance I would have thought I was in a modern day Aladdin's Cave. There were so many jewels, garments. and props. Each of the designer's sections were well presented and appropriately grouped.

I was shown around by two of the company's PR girls who took me through garments, lookbooks, labels and jewellery.

I was very interested to see the work of Ada Zanditon. I have been following her career and have always been impressed by her garment production , structure and use of illustrated images. I recently read about her collection in Berlin and I wanted to see it for myself.

It's been highlighted that the vision of the brand is to create elegant sculptural womenswear that is embellished with Zanditon's illustrations. There is a certain confidence and boldness that translates when it comes to Zanditon's pieces. The use of the colours and fabric and the odd eccentric addition (which includes donated monk's hair) make the finished product futuristic and unique.

Pieces are carefully constructed and each concept appears to be that of an individual thought. It is said that a wide range of sustainable textiles are sourced and products are produced in the United Kingdom.

For more on Ada Zanditon's work please see the Felicities website: www.felicities.co.uk

Another brand that I came across was Little Shilpa. I must admit I was unfamiliar with the work of Shilpa Chavan however she has now gained a life long fan in me. From exotic headpieces to the very popular bowties, Little Shipa is a brand of epic proportions. The influence of the brand is taken from the designer's own environment and is heavily influenced by the world around her. Shilpa, born in Mumbai, describes her brand as a collection of influences from East and West. With clientele that has included the likes of Lady Gaga as well as coverage from editorial powerhouse Vogue the is no doubt that Little Shipa will make a lasting impression in the world of creative brands.

For more on Shilpa Chavan's work please see the Felicities website: www.felicities.co.uk

Zanditon and Chavan's work were two of my favourites however Felicities PR represent a range of creative artists, designers and experts in millinery. See below for more images from the Felicities PR showroom:

Yesterday the famous Italian designer debuted his latest collection "Roberto Cavalli Home" in Milan at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2013 – one of the world's top furniture and design tradeshows. The exhibition was named "Gold, Excess and Love" and judging from the pictures these words sum up the collection perfectly. Featuring opulent furniture, the most spectacular wallpapers, plush rugs and many other interior elements, this range is certainly a feast for the eyes.

Last year when he launched the debut collection he said "When I create a dress I want it to emphasise the femininity of a woman at all times; and so as with designing for the home, I try to identify the character of the people I'm designing for, thinking how I can diffuse this with the colours, the warmth and joy of living that first of all one gives oneself."

"My Home collection was born from a personal desire to share the optimism of my fashion with those who love me-derived from my creativity, my philosophy, and my style which is also evident in the decoration of the home.

"There is no difference between the thinking behind designing a clothing line and a homeware line. My lifestyle is always hugely driven by passion."

I think he has represented his brand perfectly with this latest Home collection, focussing on the details such as materials selection and using only the most luxurious of fabrics. It is opulent, over-the- top and unashamedly decadent.

Many top designers have branched into designs for the home with this year's exhibition also featuring pieces from Versace, Missoni, Blumarine and Kenzo. They have all created beautiful designs but I think that the "Gold, Excess and Love" collection is definitely the most outstanding.
Even if this is not to your usual taste, you can't help but desire these luxurious pieces. Although I think they may look out of place in my house, I may have to create one room and dedicate it to be my Cavalli boudoir!

Marc Jacobs' latest project for Louis Vuitton is definitely different - he's dressing a hologram, or more precisely Hatsune Miku.

Miku is what's described as a 3D 'Vocaloid', and despite the fact that she's a holographic projection with a computer-generated voice, she's one of Japan's biggest popstars and regularly sells out huge stadiums.

The team behind Miku has decided to make a departure from her normal pop style and her most recent project is a stage opera called 'The End'. She is also reinventing her wardrobe, swapping her usual school-girl outfit for this year's hottest trend: Louis Vuitton checks. Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton's creative director was called upon to dress her for her big debut. He designed several funky looks for the 3D superstar to wear on stage, choosing looks from Louis Vuitton's chequered spring/summer 2013 collection, and completing the look with cute hair bows, statement handbags and feminine flats.

Marc Jacobs is renowned for his bold moves in the fashion industry and recently revealed the most important thing about being a designer is to trust your instincts.

He said: ''I never looked at the down side. It taught me that you have to trust your instincts and do what's in your heart."

''I didn't set out to be a rebel but there's a kind of integrity that's much more rewarding than any kind of negativity."

''You sleep better at night when you do what you feel rather than doing something you think someone else might like.''

The show debuted in Japan last December and is now going on tour due to its huge popularity. It is reported to hit Tokyo in May and Paris in November.

I have to say this is the first time I am very jealous of a hologram!

Coachella is almost here

Setting the bar for festival fashion this summer!

With the first of two weekends (April 12-14 and April 19-21), of this legendary festival fast approaching we can safely say, festival season is upon us! Bringing us two of our favourite things; music and fashion.

As the first of the big festivals of the year, Coachella is renowned for sparking hot new trends that soon fill the racks from high-end boutiques to department stores. It also attracts some of the world's greatest bands, with this year's line-up including Blur, The Stone Roses, Phoenix and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

With the event just outside Palm Springs, close to L.A, this is one of the most star studded festivals. Last year's stylish attendees included Katy Perry, Rihanna, Fergie, Emma Watson, Karlie Kloss, Lauren Conrad, Diane Kruger, Kate Bosworth and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to name a few. There was enough flesh on display to rival a Victoria's Secret show and they provided a constant stream of the most enviable, hippy-chic outfits you can dream of.

So with guaranteed sightings of the most stylish celebrities I can't wait to see what they choose to wear this year as they dance the nights away under the desert sun. Thanks to its location, Palm Springs sees more than 300 days of sunshine a year, so unlike our festivals closer to home emergency rain gear is out, leaving more room for festival favourites such as breezy dresses, bandeaus, denim cut-offs, crop tops, any items featuring lace, fringe or crochet designs and funky brightly-coloured accessories.

The trends rumoured to be huge this year are loose fitting tank tops, shirts sporting tribal designs, "photo real" graphic t-shirts and very distressed cut-off shorts.

Music festival-inspired style has taken off hugely in the last few years, attracting international retail giants such as H&M, Lacoste, Guess and Forever 21 to launch new lines focused on everything hip, rock and festive.

My favourite this year is Forever 21's Festival Capsule Collection. It's fun, colourful , unique and the campaign is fronted by the gorgeous Sky Ferreira. There are 85 pieces in total comprising all your festival staples mixed with trendier elements such as crochet, bold colours, lace-up details, sheer styles and stud embellishments. It's also completely affordable which is great as we all know how trashed clothes can get at a festival.

So even if you are not lucky enough to have a ticket to Coachella it's time to start planning your summer festivals and your wardrobe.
Here are a few of my favourite looks from last year and the awesome add campaign for Forever 21's new collection. Prepare to be inspired!

British Vogue has become the first magazine to sign a code of conduct for models to improve their working conditions. Organised by Equity, the trade union known for representing actors and actresses, the ten point code of conduct outlines the basic requirements for models on photo-shoots. The deal means models hired by British Vogue must be treated with "respect and professionalism", with nothing "dangerous, degrading, unprofessional or demeaning" to be imposed on them. Models can work a maximum of ten hours a day and must have adequate breaks, be provided with food and drinks and must give prior consent for semi-nude or nude work. It also states that models under the age of 16 cannot be used in photo shoots representing adults, must be accompanied by a chaperone, with no nudity or semi-nudity allowed.

It also takes into account models appearances and states that a model will not be expected to cut their hair or make long lasting changes to their appearance without express agreement, as well as being asked to approve any nudity or partial nudity before they begin.

Other requisites include transport, prompt payment, changing rooms and suitable temperatures for the clothes being modelled.
Model Dunja Knezevic who is also the chair of Equity's model committee, said she hopes that other magazines will also sign up and "prevent treatment of the kind which would be wholly unacceptable in any other professional".

This move follows the Vogue Health Initiative, which was launched in May 2012 - a pact between the 20 international editors of Vogue last year to encourage a healthier approach to body image within the industry. The treatment of models was also highlighted last year when Kate Moss spoke in an interview with Vanity Fair about her experiences as a young model, involving frequent nudity which she says caused her distress. She said "But they were like, if you don't do it then we are not going to book you ever again. So I would lock myself in the toilet and cry and then come out and do it. I never felt very comfortable about it". I think this is a great step forward for the fashion industry and hope that others will follow suit and hopefully respectful treatment of models will be standard worldwide, as it should be.

Recently British brand Hamilton and Hare launch their new Lombard collection of men's tailored briefs.

Spring is in the air!

Best new fragrances to get you in the mood.

Even though the weather may not be screaming springtime, ever the optimist I know it's just a matter of days before the sun comes out and we are eating ice cream and digging out our spring wardrobes. One thing guaranteed to get you in the right frame of mind is a fresh new fragrance. It will bring back your best summer memories and get you planning your next one.

Here are some of the best new fragrances which combine amazing scents with funky and stylish bottles that will make a perfect new addition to your dressing table.

Prada Candy L'Eau fragrance

L'Eau is the exciting new fragrance by Prada, a new variation on their original Candy which was launched in 2011. It combines citrus, floral, white musk and caramel notes to create a sophisticated and fresh scent. I love the unique shape of this bottle and its luxurious feel.

See by Chloe Eau de Parfum

The new See by Chloe is a youthful and more playful version of Chloe's two signature scents. With key notes such as apple blossom, jasmine and vanilla this is perfect for summer and a really uplifting scent.

Balenciaga, Paris L'eau Rose Eau de Toilette

Balenciaga released their third fragrance, L'Eau Rose this spring. It is described as a sparkling violet fragrance and combines violet with blackberry, pear, rose and jasmine to create a lovely subtle scent. This is a fresh and feminine fragrance which really captures the sophistication of Balenciaga.
Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y Absolute Eau de Parfum

Sensual and sophisticated the new Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y Absolute fragrance that we've all been waiting for has finally arrived! This new scent features a blend of truffle, lily of the valley and oak moss and is set to be as huge as her other amazing fragrances. I love the unique and stylish bottle.
Valentino, Valentina Acqua Floreale Eau de Toilette

Inspired by nature, leisurely strolls and summer gardens, the new Valentino Valentina Acqua Floreale fragrance features notes of bergamot against neroli, mimosa, jasmine, orange blossom, and tuberose, blended together with amber and patchouli to form an elegant, fresh and sophisticated scent.

Narciso Rodriguez, For Her L'eau

For the ultimate spring fragrance it has to be Narciso Rodriguez's new floral eau de toilette. Elegant, sensuous and ultra-feminine, this scent blends jasmine with cyclamen, peony and a hint of rose to create a wearable and seductive scent.

Marni, Eau De Parfum

As a Marni fan I am so excited that they have launched their first ever fragrance. They have combined ethereal spices, eclectic raw woods, and a touch of rose to create a sophisticated spring scent. Inspired by a bottle she once found at a flea market, the brand's creative director Consuelo Castiglioni took that vintage shape and injected it with funky polka dots to give it a Marni feel. A new must have for any fashionista.
Escada, Cherry in the Air

I love the smell of cherries so am very excited about this new fragrance by Escada. They promise this scent will evoke the pleasurable, breath-taking, and out-of-this-world feeling of falling in love. With notes of black cherry, raspberry, mandarin, marshmallow, gardenia, coconut and sandalwood this may sound like an odd mix but they blend beautifully creating a unique smell that I think will become a favourite for many and the pretty bottle is guaranteed to brighten up your bedroom.
Clinique, Happy in Bloom

I love this bottle it's so fun! It's guaranteed to give your mood a lift even before you spritz it on. With a fresh uplifting floral scent this really captures the smell of a world in bloom. It is only available for a limited time in this fun design so get it quickly so you don't miss out.
Vera Wang, Be Jeweled

The glamorous new Vera Wang Be Jeweled fragrance comes in a beautiful sparkly bottle. Pomegranate, red currant, and passion fruit blend with floral and woody notes, evoking everything you want in a fresh, feminine scent.

You can't help but be taken back to your youth when wearing this fun, flirty and feminine trend. You might think polka dots are just to be worn on kids and 50's style dresses but the catwalks showed us otherwise. This is one trend that can take you through all of summer's occasions from work, to cocktail hour, and picnics in the sun. Why not go all out and combine them with some other key trends such as sheer detailing and monochrome? With designer s and the high street going polka dot crazy here are some great options to suit any budget.
