A Maid Of Honour On A Budget

IMG 3914

I have been asked to be the Maid of Honour at my cousins wedding and I am over the moon. I was told not to spend too much on my outfit as she was sticking to a tight budget. Apart from getting my outfit together which had to be red I was told, I also was in charge of getting the party boxes to entertain the children during the evening.

I decided to purchase the party boxes from Little Party Parcels as I could get them pre-filled. The boxes would be silver and filled with magic sets, stickers, mini doodle pads, colour swap crayons and Bufferfly gliders. My one duty was sorted thanks to Little Party Parcels.

The red dress I purchased was from ASOS and was an absolute bargain at £15.50p in the sale. It was a Missguided Lace Overlay Bodycon dress. I fell in love with it; it was perfect to wear at the beginning and the end of the evening for the party.

Next I needed some shoes, I found some Mid Heel Barely There Sandals in white, which were New Look shoes but I had found them at ASOS. The shoes were £17.99p. I was so pleased with myself for managing to keep the costs down.

All I needed now was a piece of jewellery to set my outfit apart from all the rest. A pearl necklace would be perfect I thought. I was lucky enough to be gifted one from Schmuckwerk. They sell all types of beautiful jewellery including silver and glass lockets. I will be buying all my jewellery for special occasions from there. I cannot wait to show my pearls off at the wedding, they will add some much needed class to my outfit.
