Not all celebrity fashion trends are that easy to follow - especially as most of us don't have celebrity-sized budgets to spend on accessories, or jewelry designers and retailers asking us to wear their products to a party. Celebs don't just get asked to wear certain pieces of jewelry and other accessories - they're often paid a fee to do so. At a big do like the Oscars or a similar red-carpet event, some stars might be using their own necklaces, rings or earrings. However, it's far more usual practice for them to wear jewels which are on loan for the occasion.
For example, at this year's Oscars, Naomi Watts wore a stunning Bulgari High Jewelry diamond necklace, while Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner wore a matching earrings and necklace combi from Tiffany & Co, which complemented her gray-green Galvan dress perfectly. Cate Blanchett also underwent the Tiffany treatment, with a pair of platinum drop earrings that featured marquise and round diamonds and a platinum starfish cuff bracelet from the Tiffany Blue Book Collection.
However, for everyday life, it's heartening to see that many celebs opt for simpler jewelry touches that we can all find similar versions of, should we wish to follow their lead.
This year, for example, there are plenty of celebs who've been spotted out and about wearing a simple bar necklace - with a range of different outfits. Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Alba have both been seen in a simple jeans-and-jumper outfit with a bar necklace. Rihanna, on the other hand, has paired hers with a buttoned-up collar shirt and tailored jacket.
Some celebs go for the personalised option, with their name engraved on the bar (in case anyone didn't recognise them, perhaps?). From the simplest of designs to some really intricate ones, monogram necklaces are another personalised jewelry choice that can be matched up with numerous different outfits. Plenty of famous necks have sported them, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Emma Watson, Sandra Bullock and Rashida Jones.
