Deciding what to wear to work can often be a headache for many of us because you are often torn between wearing the usual office outfit staples or dressing in something more glam and chic.
The difficult part is that you do not want to look too plain and simple, with the basics but you also do not want to look too casual and relaxed with more trendy pieces either.
If you that is you in the morning read on for my work wear tips for the stylish office girls.
Do not get rid of your staples
Yes!! They are boring and simple but you do not have to wear them as they are. Your crisp white button down shirt may scream Plain Jane when worn alone but when dressed up with a crop top or a vest or adding interesting and statement accessories it can give you an entirely new, chic look. So do stock up on those basic staples and use them as your base to building stylish outfits for the office.

Balance is key
There are so many new silhouettes on trend right now and the great thing about these new silhouettes is that they are wearable and you can include them into your work wear. Culottes with is loose and flowy silhouette and because of that makes them a chic option for a more polished look for work. Pair it with a more pieces that are more structured silhouette like a polished a blazer or a crisp button down.

Opt for sleeves
Sleeveless pieces tend to look more casual although there are some exceptions such as sleeveless shift dresses and sleeveless collared shirts. So rather opt for pieces with sleeves.
Make your daily black and white look by livening it up with colour
Work wear are often black and white but you can dress up even the most simplest to look more interesting by adding splashes of colour. Or by switching black and white with grey. But do keep in mind to wear colours suits your skin tone and brings out her best and fits in with your daily work wear basics.

Work and skimpy are not a good match
Keep it stylish and avoid off shoulder tops, sheer dresses and to short mini dresses Yes they are all very chic and on trend but a corporate office environment is not the place to wear these street style pieces. Remember if it shows too much skin it is an automatic no-no. You can add pieces like a trench to add a layer of length. Skirt hemlines should finish above or below the knee, as it will make your legs look slimmer and longer.

New York City
The Lexington NYC (Photo by Eva Fydrych/ Fashion Studio Magazine)
With New York Fashion Week just around the corner, it is high time to think about the hotel accommodation for September. While there are many luxury hotels in the city, only some of them offer a truly memorable experience and combine both comfort and style.
One of my favourite properties, ultra-modern YOTEL, has already been featured in the “Fashion Diary - New York”. You can read more about this funky hotel here.
Below you can find three more options that I would recommend for a stylish stay in New York City.
ELEMENT BY WESTIN
Photos by Eva Fydrych and courtesy of Element Times Square
During my recent trip to New York, I had a chance to stay at a very interesting hotel - Element New York Times Square West. Inspired by nature and created to be an oasis of natural light, this eco-friendly hotel is a perfect place to unwind and relax(especially during busy events such as the Fashion Week).
Unique design elements of the hotel include flooring and furniture made from recycled fabrics, wall art mounted on a base made from recycled tires, low VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint to improve air quality, energy efficient light bulbs, and low-flow faucets.
Each room features a flowing, functional layout with multi-use furniture which allows you to adjust the space to your own needs and make the most out of your stay. Nature-inspired colour palette encourages relaxation. According to some design experts, such as Barbara Huelat, "exposure to natural materials and images have the benefit of reminding humans of their evolution and connections to nature".
Bringing earth tones into the hotel interior provides a soothing, calming environment that promotes the sense of well-being.

One of the hotel's main attractions is a rooftop patio overlooking the bustlingMidtown Manhattan and a fully equipped gym, where you can maintain your healthy lifestyle when away from home. Element Times Square also offers complimentary Bike Lending Program, available on first-come, first-served basis.
There is also a really innovative service which is becoming more and more popular with the hotel guests. "We offer a special stationary bike in our fitness centre that has a pedal-powered generator. This lets our guests charge their tablet or smart phone as they exercise." - explains Lynn Woods, Assistant General Manager.
THE LEXINGTON NYC

As a member of the exclusive Marriott Autograph Collection, The Lexington NYC won’t disappoint you. This trendy hotel has not only excellent location, but also veryinspiring interior design. You will experience personal service and world-class amenities that exceed your expectations.
“The Lexington New York City itself is a work of art, melding high-end architectural design with chic, historic accents to maximize style and comfort.
Rows of winged lions decorate the building’s façade and terracotta figures flank the Lexington Avenue entrance, reminiscent of those adorning Notre Dame.
The spacious marble-floored living room features sky-scraping pillars and plush décor echoing the glamour and sophisticated style of the 1920s, while the hotel’s hallways present Soho-style black and white prints of the city’s most notable landmarks.
The artists featured in the Lexington New York City’s collection are both local and internationally renowned and work within a wide range of mediums – murals, photography, three-dimensional installations and more. Through curating this magnificent collection, Powell has commissioned works that reflect the property’s commitment to preserve its uniquely New York jazz age past while also providing fresh new perspectives on classic works.” - lexingtonhotelnyc.com

Eva Fydrych in New York City, September 2014
See you in New York! :)
If you need a hairband that will not get wet when you are at the beach or even at your local swimming pool then invisibobble is the hairband for you. Invisibobble is a traceless hair ring, what this means for you is that after you remove them from your hair, whether your hair is straight, curly or frizzy it will not leave a kink or mark in your hair. Even after hours of use it will leave no trace of being there.
At long last we can finally say goodbye to the kinks that we would have to spend extra time on before leaving the house. Unlike other hairbands invisibobble will not leave you with hair breakage, which I know we could all do without. I am using invisibobbles in my weave at the moment and it does not tug at the hair like other bands I have used in the past. I pay too much for my weave to have it pulled out when I remove my hairband.
Invisibobbles look like the old telephone cords and come in several different colours. I was lucky enough to be gifted with a few pink, yellow, black and clear ones. Even after the invisibobble is stretched it will always return to its natural shape so you are getting value for money when you buy them. You will not have to replace them on a weekly basis like I had to with other bands.
My favourite fact about the invisibobble is that they do not get soaked in water, one thing I cannot stand is a soggy hairband. I now use invisibobbles when I go for a run, go swimming and for most of my daily activities.
You can purchase invisibobbles online or from Boots, Topshop and Urban Outfitters from 4 pounds for 3.

H&M are introducing 16 new denim styles made from recycled cotton from textiles collected in the Garment Collecting initiative in H&M stores. The aim is to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry, by limiting waste that goes to landfill and saving on natural resources used in the production of fabric.
This initiative by H&M’s is to create a closed loop for fashion “Creating a closed loop for textiles, in which unwanted clothes can be recycled into new ones, will not only minimize textile waste, but also significantly reduce the need for virgin resources as well as other impacts fashion has on our planet, “says Karl-Johan Persson, CEO of H&M.
Since 2013, H&M customers worldwide have been able to bring unwanted clothes from any brand into its stores as part of its Garment Collecting Initiative. So far, over 14,000 tonnes have been collected globally.
Right now, H&M is able to use 20% recycled cotton from collected clothes, and is investing in new technology to increase this share without losing quality. H&M has a target to increase the number of garments made with at least 20% recycled fabric by 300% compared to 2014.
The new denim pieces, which will be available in-stores and online in September, are all made from recycled cotton and organic cotton, with three styles for women ranging from skinny to distressed ‘girlfriend’ jeans, plus a denim jacket, flared dungarees and a denim jumpsuit.
For men, there is a zip-up denim jacket, two distressed slim leg styles, and a pair of joggers in coated denim.
The kid’s pieces include a zip-up hoodie with cute animal ears, a stretch jeans sequined at the knee, and a street style hooded shirt, with distressed jeans.
With shades of brown and cream to khakis, gold, sunflower yellow, sand hues, antique red, denim blue and Lilly orange I love the eye catching colours of 70’s fashion

That’s right, poker straight hair flattened with straightening irons is once again coming back with a bang as we head into the autumn season and GHD which stands for ‘good hair day’ are ahead of the game by introducing their new platinum series of hair straighteners.
Straight hair is one of the most wished for features by thousands of women across the globe along with fighting the frizz and shiny luscious locks. GHD have created a new miracle straightener that promises to tackle all.
The platinum series promises to deliver the ultimate styling results with a healthier, stronger and shiner finish by being made with tri zone technology of three senses in each plate to ensure that the temperature of the straightener is maintained across the entire plate from root to tip. With a maximum temperature of 180 degrees these new irons promise to reduce hair breakage by over 50 percent and increasing shine by 20 percent.
GHD have certainly delivered with their new series of straighteners ready for the new autumn hair trend…
Follow my tips for perfect healthy poker straight locks
• When straightening the hair always make sure you have given the hair plenty of moisture by applying a leave in conditioner after washing like Tigi Bed Head Ego Boost.
• Before straightening apply a heat protection product from roots to ends like GHD Heat Protect.
• Section the hair into 4 quarters, and take small sections from each quarter as you work the straighteners through.
• Use a small comb as you glide the straighteners through the hair, this not only tackles any knots but also helps in creating the smooth poker straight effect.
• When straightening, leave 2cm at the roots untouched from the straighteners, this will leave volume to your locks.
• Always leave 1cm at the ends untouched to help avoid split ends.
• Finish with a moisture hair serum.

It is time to update your morning beauty routine for winter
The last thing we want to be thinking about is winter with its dark and gloomy day’s But with the change in outside temperatures and the use of indoor heating can leave our skin feeling dull and dry.
We might not be supper excited about winter, but just as we start the “summer skin” prep early we can start making small changes now to prep our skin for winter.
Start the day with a glass of water
Hydrate and moisturise from the inside out, is an important part of your beauty routine for winter.
Starting your day with a tall glass of lukewarm water, with lemon juice and cayenne pepper will not only hydrate but also flush out toxins and give you an energy boost.
Start your day with exercise and an ‘instant facial’ instead of coffee
Now I know that coffee is the number one kick start to any ones day. But your coffee might give you a morning energy boost but it can dehydrate and age your skin and with the change in temperatures and in door heating already dehydrating you skin why add to it. So switch up your morning coffee with green tea. A cup of green tea before your morning exercise will also boost your metabolism.
Kick it up a notch and get your blood flowing in the morning with gentle exercise, like yoga. For the “instant facial” dunk your face in cold water which will instantly energize you and leave your skin brighter and tighter.
Switch to a Gentle Cleanser and continue to exfoliate
Steer clear of store bought shops with all it skin drying chemicals and diy your own.
Why not try; Oil cleanse
Olive oil is packed with nutrients that will hydrate dry skin and boost skins moisturizing levels. Also the best make up remover.
All you will need is;
• extra virgin olive oil
• wash cloth
Massage the cleanser into your skin, and then soak a wash cloth in warm water to remove.
A good scrub does wonders to increase the absorption of skin moisturisers. Try this homemade clove and sugar body scrub
1/2 cup brown sugar
3-4 drops clove essential oil
1/2 cup jojoba, almond or olive oil
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Store in a covered jar to use all over your body for extra exfoliation, concentrate on all those rough patches like your knees and elbows.
Use a richer moisturizer
Cooler temperatures means doubling up on moisture for skin so you will need to start using richer moisturises for face and body. Make sure that your lotions for face and body is fragrance free because artificial fragrances may be irritating to your skin. Remember that moisturizers are best applied to wet, slightly towel pat dry skin as the moisture from the water will help to absorb lotion faster into skin and keep it moisturised all day long.
You might not see it but the sun is still out in winter so you should always apply a sunscreen after your moisturizer to shield your skin from harmful UV rays.
Enjoy a good portion of beauty foods
The red, orange and yellow shades of many autumn foods are high in concentrations of antioxidants especially vitamin A and vitamin C and beta carotene, which is great for glowing, clear skin that’s protected from free radicals.
Summer is wedding season! It’s time to get out your shoulder-baring dress and flaunt tanned and toned legs. But if you’re feeling less than fabulous after a cold winter, now is the time to start getting ready to shine for those summer events.
Healthy Diet And Detox
True radiance starts from within, so the first step is to ensure you’re giving your body high quality fuel. Cut out the refined sugar, alcohol and caffeine; have water or a mocktail instead of a cocktail! Fresh fruit and vegetable juice in a refreshing cool drink will leave your eyes bright and your skin glowing. A healthy detox diet focussing on lean meat and leafy green vegetables will help you sleep well and wake refreshed and energised.
Sun Kissed Curves
Tanned summer skin doesn’t have to involve hours under the harsh rays of the sun or a sunbed. A high-quality airbrush tan will give you that gorgeous bronzed glow while ensuring you take care of your skin.
Keep your beautiful eyes looking flawless in those emotional moments with a high quality waterproof mascara. Or even better, invest in getting your eyelashes dyed by a professional beautician. You won’t regret it when the bride walks up the aisle and the tears start flowing!
A wedding is an excuse to add the latest fashion to your wardrobe. What better occasion than a glamorous summer event to get out the short skirt and Manolo Blahniks? Don’t let less-than-perfect legs hold you back from wearing what you want and looking your best. Varicose vein procedures these days are quick and low-impact.
Sun In Your Hair
Whether the big event will be set in a garden, a church or another special venue, you’ll want to keep that sunshine shimmer in your hair. Book in a visit to your favourite hairdresser a week before the day to achieve a subtly highlighted look that will turn heads.
Exfoliate For Gorgeous Skin
Exfoliation will buff away the winter chills to reveal your flawless spring skin to the world. Gently stroke your skin with a loofah or body scrub to remove dead cells and get a fresh glow. Don’t forget your neck and décolleté areas, but be gentle, as this skin is more delicate than the skin on your legs and arms.
There are lots of temporary cellulite fixes that can help you look your best in that little black dress. Drinking lots of water is key, as hydration will improve the texture of your skin and help your body release any retained fluid. Replacing the refined sugars in your diet with green vegetables will also help your body reduce dimpling.
Quick-fix Body Toning
Get a head start on summer with a combination of heavy and lighter weight resistance training, flexibility exercises and bodyweight workouts. Focus on the muscles that respond fastest to strength training – the shoulders, arms, lower abs and calves. Beginning even a short routine 6 weeks out from the big event will give you a sleeker, toned body, with inches lost around the middle.
Keep your skin fresh and smooth with a refreshing moisturising plan. A high quality and effective deep moisturiser will hydrate and penetrate the skin. Look for one that includes plant and marine active constituents to make your skin glow the natural way.
Finish The Look With A Pedicure
A pair of sweet feet peeking out of your open-toed heels will complete your sexy ensemble. Check out this hot DIY pedicure for a professional look.
Are you cutting back on caffeine drinking more water just to achieve healthy glowing skin?
Well for anyone who struggles to drink even 1 litre of water a day as i do this is a great alternative from OVIO. On tasting the drinks i instantly thought of the hot herbal tea infusions part of my daily intake but this although very similar comes cold and delivered in a bottle. They smell amazing and when you drink them, it’s apparent it’s water but with a hint of fruit.
‘Bursting with goodness, the mighty olive leaf is one of Nature's little miracles. Jam-packed with polyphenols and flavanoids (really healthy stuff) it inspires you to feel full of life’.
Lemon & Mint – It took some time for me to get used to this one as I felt the mint was too strong and I could not taste the lemon enough. But it was still refreshing.
Cucumber & Juniper – A nice combination no one flavour stood out more than the other
Strawberry & Elderflower – Although I am hooked on #lemon flavoured deserts and drinks this one out of the three was my favourite, with a lovely sweet and fruity smell.
Retailing at £9.54.for a pack of 6, that’s £1.59 per bottle from www.oviowellness.com
Give it a try for yourself and let us know what you think.

Strobing is the talk of the beauty industry this season and it's fast becoming a popular trend for the catwalk.. But what is strobing?
Essentially, strobing is an advanced form of highlighting with no contour to compliment it. We use the technique to make the skin appear fresh, natural and healthy.
So how is it different to highlighting?...
When we highlight the skin whether it be teamed with a darker contour or not, we have more going on in the makeup look. That may be eye makeup, a lip colour or a strong contour. Strobing, is highlighting with no other distractions within the makeup look. It is the main focus and is instantly the technique our eyes are drawn to when looking at the face.
The technique to strobing is adding a highlighting cream or powder to the highest points of the face.. Above the eyebrows, the forehead, top of the cheek bones, nose and above the upper lip. My favourite way is by using highlighting creams.
My must have product…

Are you a Star Wars fan? Then you will love this, American cosmetics brand, Cover Girl is launching a collection of Star wars make up that is asking you to choose between the light or dark side.
The collection is a collaboration with designer Pat McGrath and will be available in September and will include 10 mascaras, six lipsticks and three nail polishes that relates to the good or bad characters in the Star wars series.
According to an article on Style Cater- http://goo.gl/s0n9p8- each mascara tube will feature a Star Wars quote, with mantras from the Light Side, which is the waterproof version and the Dark Side, the regular mascaras.
Looks a bit futuristic for me but if you are a super fan of Star wars, and Lupita Nyong’o who can be seen in Star Wars: Episode VII, I am sure you will do what you can to get your hands on it.
Cover Girl is not sold in the UK but can be found on www.covergirl.com
Women are doing what? Microwaving their armpits!
Really! Well yes, according to an article on Byrdie.com, first published in Marie Claire @ www.marieclaire.com
I have heard a lot of crazy things but this by far is too much for me, microwaving your under arms.
It is not an actual microwave but a laser gun–like device, by the medical company Miramar Labs.
“It's the same wavelength, but the delivery method, depth of penetration or range, and safety profile are totally different,” Dr. Snehal P. Amin, a board-certified dermatologic surgeon, told Marie Claire.
The device heats up the levels deep under your skin, where the hair root and sweat glands are located and subsequently destroys them. This is the only FDA-approved device of its kind, and the company has reported over 40,000 treatments this far.
Microwaving my armpits, need to think about that one for a minute, but with over 40,000 treatments I am sure that there are beauty crazed women that will invest in it.
But you know what they say, “different strokes for different folk” Would you microwave your armpits?

My hair texture is fine, professionally highlighted, tends to dry out on the ends and its naturally curly, with a tendency to frizz and fly out in all directions.
I’ve been using both products for over a week now. I only used small amount of mousse to start with but slightly larger amount that suggested on the packaging works better with my fine hair. Both products work best when used together, however the mousse worked best on my towel dried hair, after I brushed it. After I dried my hair I used small amount of oil to smooth the waves.
Overall, I am pretty impressed by both products – hair stays nice silky texture for about two days without the need for washing and the ends aren’t drying out. The hair keeps its shape and there is no uncontrollable frizzing. I only needed to use a bit of the serum in the morning to get the hair under control without having to wash it again. I prefer both products to similar hair products that I’ve been using so far.
Both products can be purchased from Boots - Salon Science Cellumax Volumising Foam PhytoCellTec Swiss Apple 150ml - 17.00 and Salon Science Reglosse Smoothing Serum GSP-T Swiss Grape 50ml - 18.00

Where have you been you ask, I have been away to visit the queen that is what I would love to say. However the truth is that I am overworked and underpaid, the past year has been hectic for me with nonstop events and shows taking place in the UK and Nigeria. My lovely clients are becoming ever more demanding, so it has left me no time to write. But if I were being truly honest I have been very lazy and have been suffering from writers bloc (AKA I can’t be bothered to write).
This morning though, I woke up feeling inspired and having the urge and the itch to write, so before I lost the urge I quickly opened my laptop and started writing – then it happened. I had to stop because I had no idea of what to write about. I first wanted to write about Obama and then Trump and then Buhari (the president of Nigeria), I have to explain whom he is, as some of you would not know whom the president of Nigeria is, but I am sure you know whom Obama and Donald Trump are. I thought all of that was too political and thought I would be censored by Fashions Finest., So I decided to write about the last 2 days of my life.
This year, Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL as it is fondly called) took a unilateral decision without consultation to pursue world domination, but that was not enough they also issued decrees, edicts and passed laws to extend their domination to also include domination of the universe and its outer dominions and any inhabited or non inhabited planets as Ronke Ademiluyi the founder of AFWL put on her biggest and best event yet with the sole aim of dominating African fashion across the world. It is fair to say that AFWL is without a doubt the biggest African Fashion Week in the world – I know there are some of you that would say that South Africa Fashion Week is bigger. Well I disagree as they are part of the so called official international fashion week schedule, which some of us are not allowed to belong too – I say no more on this subject as I am in a good mood.
That aside AFWL was streamed live across the world by so many media houses including the BBC, Swahili TV, OH TV, the Africa Channel, South African Broadcasting Corporation, Fashion One and hundreds more. I have never seen so many bloggers in my life. Next year I will call it the bloggers convention but they did a great job of updating the world instantaneously as things were happening. I could not believe it, that at the end of the final show I was FORCED to do a catwalk and within seconds it was live and people were commenting on it from different parts of the world. The power of social media, where would we be without you.
I must slightly divert here and talk about people that have nothing to do in their life but complain about the smallest little things they can think of. I recently did an interview for a newspaper in Nigeria about AFWL and I said something to the tune of ‘this will be the best AFWL ever’ and besides everything else written or mentioned in the article the only comment one person could make is that Mr Mahogany (that’s me by the way) you should have said that it would be the best AFWL yet not ever. Even though I went to school and fortunate enough to go to university I am sure my English was correct (but also feel free to correct me) – cos as far as I am concerned if I have done 4 AFWL shows to date and this is the 5th one and I expect it to be the best, am I not allowed to say it will be the best AFWL ever? Seriously!!! I think my main gripe was the fact that this was the only thing they could pick up from the article, no well done, I hope it goes well, more grease to your elbow, don’t overwork, don’t get stressed etc just a correction on my view. hmmmmmm
Anyway correction or no correction this year’s AFWL was the best AFWL EVER, yes I am emphasising the ever as it was a phenomenal show. I know I should not be blowing my own trumpet but if the tune or music is good then you have to blow.
Over the two days of shows over 58 designers showcased including 24 designers that came over from South Africa known as the KZN Fashion Council, SA Collective who truly stole the Friday evening show, recent reports that have come to my attention state that the police are currently planning to charge the South African Collective with theft, they were off the hook. The designs and the designers were colourful, imaginative, innovative and creative. It’s so good to see how far African fashion has come over the past 5 years and I am proud to say that African fashion now owns the world. We had a young 18 year old designer Tuiimila showcase and the entire fashion week was closed by the veteran designer Needle Point and as always she came with her A game. If I were to mention all of the designers I would be here forever, to be honest they all deserve a mention but sadly I can’t but I do take my hat off to each and every one of them.
We had some of the hottest models from around the world featuring in the show, I know it’s not fair to mention some by name but you have to get a feel of how big this show is, you know me even though I should not, I will. Tanya did her 5th straight AFWL show in a row and is the only model to feature in all five seasons, Ruhani came to do the show from Singapore, Victoria from Ghana, Tomi from Nigeria and Aramatou the season 9 winner of Top Model of Colour made her AFWL debut and rocked the catwalk along with the other 40 models that came from all over the UK to participate in the show. However LADIES what is going on, every time Emeka & Hassan two of our male models came onto the catwalk and especially when they were bared chested you all absolutely went wild and literally lost your minds. I would like to say that us men that only have a one pack are just as good as the hunks that had six and eight packs. Seeing how you were responding to them has given me the motivation to go to the gym and do an upgrade from my one pack to a six pack – I can hear you all saying dream on, that is so unfair you should be encouraging me.
Backstage was fun and hectic with Motions as always killing it (do you like my young people slang – ‘killing it’) with the hair and of course Maxine was winding me up over the two days. Abbie May and her makeup team took the makeup to another level and ensured the models looked amazing (sorry I could not avoid using this over used word – too lazy to think of an alternative word, yes I do know I could of used google). Lola, Lola, Lola, yes I said her name three times as she deserves it, she was the head of the AFWL styling team and this was the first time that she did AFWL and despite all of my stress and that of the models and designers she held it together and ensured the models looked absolutely fabulous in the designers clothes. I have no idea of how she did it, because putting the backstage together was like organising a military campaign.
From my limited and extensive knowledge I don’t know of any other Africa Caribbean event that does an event at the Olympia and AFWL should be very proud of their achievements not just about having the courage and the tenacity to take the risk and do it at this very big and VERY EXPENSIVE venue but they have ensured that the event gets bigger and bigger each year. AFWL had over 150 volunteers and interns work on the event, over 80 plus exhibitors, food court that did not stop selling from the moment the doors opened till when they closed (if they gave me a share of their profits I won’t have to work for the next one year).
I must do a big shout out to the AFWL team including Seyi the events manager and her able second in command Joke, Kamari operations, Jo exhibitors, Titi hospitality ( I say no more), CJ entertainment alongside Ike whom put some great acts together, Teju in charge of volunteers, Dami who had boundless energy and just sorted out everything, Anna Maria in charge of press and my fantastic assistant Bili and music produced by the hottest DJ in London Ayo Homdiggy and finally Ricardo whom got stress from EVERYONE and it also seems to be my mission in life to always give him stress as well but by always harassing him that he is taking too long to get the crowd seated, but I will make it up to him by one day giving him the jacket that he wants, he has the unenviable job of having to seat everyone for each show.
The crowd and audience was the best EVER, they dressed to impress, they encouraged the designers and models and they also made sarcastic and horrible comments (I love our people) and dripped saliva all over the floor as their tongues fell out of their mouths whilst drooling over the male models. For nearly all shows it was standing room only and over the two days AFWL had its highest attendance EVER with thousands and thousands attending.
Well this piece is dragging and I think I have to bring it to an end now but I can’t go without firstly saying that we must all take our hats off to Ronke Ademiluyi for putting this event together and taking the risks and having the courage to keep going despite all the hurdles, difficulty in getting sponsorship and covering the costs. Ronke I bow to you.
Lastly I am very happy to announce that during the event I was promoted to Executive Creative Director, I have no idea why I got the promotion but I have been told that it comes with no additional benefits or increase in salary and a lot more work, so life goes on still overworked and underpaid.
As I am now 31 years old and I have started to notice my body changing in ways that I am not too happy about, I have found myself frantically searching for a product to remove the bags from under my eyes. I wanted them to have that youthful sparkle once again. For a few weeks I have been using Essentials AA skincare collections Seaweed and Aloe refreshing eye gel. It comes in an easy to carry beige and green bottle with a pump style top and is suitable for all skin types. It soothes the skin and can be used for removing make-up.
The Seaweed that is in the eye gel is rich in vitamins and minerals and when not being eaten it can be applied directly to the skin. Seaweed is said to both strengthen and soothe skin and also has a natural anti-inflammatory so it keeps redness of the skin to a minimum.
The Aloe in the gel also known as the “plant of immortality” by the Egyptians and has been used in medicines for centuries. It heals wounds while treating many other skin conditions. Unlike other eye gels this one will not break the bank as you can buy it online for only £6.96p.You only need to use a small amount therefore a 50ml bottle could last you a long time. After only using the eye gel a few times I noticed the puffiness around my eyes calming down. My family and friends have commented on my appearance and have been asking what my secret is. I was more than happy to share it with them and tell them that it was Seaweed and Aloe gel from Essentials AA skincare collection. Finally the area around my eyes feel youthful again, they are refreshed and ready for what life has to throw at me.
