3 Style Tips for Your First Date So You Don’t Mess it Up
No matter you’re a teenager or someone in 20s, first date is always a big deal for all of us. Yes, you are confident, clever and charismatic enough to charm your partner at your first date but this does not mean that you should not plan out for your first date.
Just imagine if you’re learning to drive first time and you hit it to a pole, will you have the same confidence to learn driving the next time. No, you don’t. Your confidence might not be shaken but it did hit you somewhere. Similarly, your first date is not something you can ruin just like that. Here are the 3 most important styling tips for your first date so that you don’t mess it up:
1. Be Casual
You may not believe in “First impression is your last impression” but this does not mean that your partner also does not believe in it. Primary advice for you here is to wear something that really fits the occasion. For instance, if you’re just here for a coffee, a casual dress with a comfy and cozy sweater and ankle boots will be enough to charm him.
2. Be Gorgeous and Sexy at the Same Time
If you know your first boyfriend through some online forum and you may know what his likes and dislikes about a woman’s dressing, you can use these tiny details at your first date with him. However, first date does not really mean that you’re going to have sex with him right away. So you need to look gorgeous and sexy at the same time. So it will be great if you wear a cool and elegant top with a cute and somewhat striking and attractive skirt to charm your man.
3. Formal and Dazzling Outlook
In case, you’re meeting your man for an after-work drink, it’s important for you to wear somewhat a formal dress to mark your presence. You cannot simply go into your casual trousers in this case. In order to get the perfect attire for your first date, you can wear skinny jeans along with a stunning blazer and high neck blouse.
Cool Monochrome
So we are officially in Spring, although the weather is not playing along yet, we can look forward to, hopefully, some great summer weather. But while we are not there yet, and we are still working on our bikini bodies. HELLO!! Monochrome, one of the best styling tricks to hide those pesky areas that you are conscious of, while at the same time adding inches and making you appear leaner.
Monochrome is often associated with black or white but there are more colors that you can wear to create that elegant monochrome look. Here are my favorite 6 colors, that if chosen in the shade that compliments your skin tone, will carry you through spring and summer for all those cool monochrome looks.
Denim Blue
Cool and tranquil the perfect color for your casual street style, as we all have a denim jacket, cutoff shorts, jeans, chambray shirts, and button-down skirts in our closets.

Green is great if you want to refresh your look. And as we are seeing a lot of the khaki safari trend this season. Pulling of the green monochrome look will be a breeze. Choose hues of green like khaki, hunter green, olive green, and forest green for a fresh chic look.
White, the classic summer color. Although most women find it challenging to wear because the all-white shade, as it is not very flaw flattering. The trick is to pick the right fabric and to make sure that it fits your silhouette and that the design flatters your shape. So if you do have a muffin top, pair a structured vest with a dress, as the lapels of outerwear slims down your shape and defines your waist.
Grey, not always a summer color, but definitely a good choice for a slimming monochromatic look. Just be sure that the color does not drown you out so add splashes of complementing color like blueberry blue, red or fuchsia.
Nude, depending on your skin tone this is a very flattering monochrome look. But like grey it can drown you, so make sure that you pick a shade that is in contrast with your skin tone.
La Redoute
Are you looking to inject some color into your wardrobe? Then look no further than the new La Redoute SS16 collection for chic, sleek French inspired fashion.

One of the best ways to organize your closet is to keep all of your pieces together and colour coded, meaning tops together followed by pants, jeans, skirts and dresses.

Your capsule wardrobe should at least have one pair of tailored pants and a silky blouse.
