Sisley, the exclusive French skincare and cosmetics company, was created in 1976 by Hubert d'Ornano. Sisley is known for its luxurious plant based skincare and make up range and four fragrances – Eau du Soir, Soir de Lune, Eau de Campagne and Les Eaux de Sisley.
Hubert and Isabelle d'Ornano are passionate perfume designers who have always freely imagined high quality, modern and elegant fragrances that resolutely assert their difference. The Sisley fragrances revive the spirit of the great French Haute Parfumerie and over the years have won their place amongst the timeless classics.
Eau du Soir, which celebrates its 20th Birthday this year, was created by Hubert d'Ornano as a personal fragrance for his wife Isabelle in memory of the scent of Andalusian gardens from her childhood, when the day gives way to obscurity and White Seringa flowers fully release their scent. Eau du Soir is the essence of a summer evening captured in an eau de parfum; an extremely elegant, original and refined Chypre floral fragrance. It is still to this day Sisley's best selling perfume.
Each year Isabelle d'Ornano personally oversees the creation of a limited-edition Eau du Soir bottle. The bottle retains its signature sculptured stopper, which was designed by Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof, but recreates itself in a different coloured flacon. For 2010, to celebrate the fragrance's special anniversary, a duo of bottles are available in monochrome black and white versions, each splattered with contrasting black, red and white paint splashes. Each bottle is handcrafted, making each one unique.
