Since the first show in London Fashion Week, Autumn/Winter 2013, we have seen integrating patterns and knitwear techniques to illustrate themes inspired by fantasy and literature. The exciting mix of traditional and oriental elements with a contemporary twist, and the interweaving of bold and casual elements are at the heart of APUJAN’s unique style and have become the hallmarks of the label.

The SS20 collection called ‘A Strange Thief of Time’ narrates a story taking place in a fantasy world of the designer’s imagination. Elements of dinosaurs, keys, clocks, tree branches and space objects contribute into creating visual and tactile imagery suggesting of what this world of fantasy looks and feels like. APUJAN goes further this season featuring original music which has been produced by APUJAN’s music director, DJ Question Mark, as to create the ideal atmosphere for the audience to undertake a journey in Apu Jan’s dream-fantasy land. APUJAN actively contributes and launches new technologically developed fabrics every season. Digital embroidery, semi 3-D jacquard fabrics and delicately knitted jacquard paired with pristine wool, silk and cotton are actively being developed and used in the collections.

Previously having attracted international media attention, as one of the 10 designers shortlisted for the Vogue Italy New Talent; one of the GQ Men of the Year, Taiwan; and the top 10 culture and creative brands in Taiwan; APUJAN collections have also been featured in major fashion and design publications, including Vogue, GQ, Bazaar, ELLE, WALLPAPER and i-D.APUJAN. Designs have also been shown at the La Cite de la Dentelle et de la mode in Calais in France and show-roomed in Paris Fashion Week.
