As a London based designer, Molly studied at Central Saint Martins, and her unique style involves directly manipulating the materials she uses, exploiting the tension between maximalism and restraint.
Goddard’s exploration of transparencies, fabric manipulation, construction and volume is key to her work, as are the specific techniques she uses such as hand-smocking and shirring.
Although as a young designer, Molly had no ideas of creating a label, the inception of the brand in 2014 came about after an impromptu fashions show party caused her friends to want to buy her creations. Her label has developed considerably - signature tulle has been joined by taffeta, organdie and silk - while the range of products has expanded to include menswear and accessories.
More recently, Molly Goddard dresses have featured in the BBC and BBC America television show Killing Eve on actress Jodie Comer.
Molly's Aw21 collection consists of brightly coloured tulle and floral dresses, winter coats with tartan trousers, skirts. The perfect winter wearable wardrobe.
