To celebrate Pride 2021, Radley London - the British handbag and accessories brand - has partnered with LGBTQ+ charity Stonewall and designed a limited edition reversible tote bag pledging a portion of the sales to the charity and its social mission.
Radley London's new entry for Summer 2021 is the 'Beach Close Pride', a limited-edition large cotton canvas tote with a fully reversible structure and crossbody strap. It features an iconic rainbow print stripe design on one side and the Radley London logo in the Pride rainbow colours on the other. A must-have bag for Summer, more colourful and social than ever. It retails online at £109 with 20% of the sales being donated to the Stonewall charity. By purchasing this tote bag, customers will support Stonewall and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Stonewall's mission is to fight and stand for everyone's rights so 'everyone of every identity is free to be proud, free to love, free to be wrong, free to be anything, free to be together.
The limited-edition creation has been welcomed with joy by both partners. Anthony Baigent, Senior Community and Partnerships Officer at Stonewall, said: 'Stonewall is delighted to be working with Radley London on the creation of the statement bag to celebrate Pride this June and sure it’ll be a sell-out! We’d like to thank all customers purchasing the Pride bag for the significant contribution their donations will make towards creating real change for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people'
Neil Borer, Chief Customer Officer at Radley London, commented: 'Radley London champions causes close to its heart and works with charities that support local communities to address concerns that resonate with customers and employees. We are joining forces with Stonewall to support the charity’s continued fight to free the potential of everyone in the LGBTQ+ community, for equality and freedom. The renowned charity works to ensure institutions are accepting, inclusive and welcoming to all.'
In addition to the launch and online charity campaign, Radley London is also happy to announce Lady Phyll as its Woman of Sprit for June 2021. The company will collaborate with Lady Phyll during Pride Month, as she fully embodies what it means to be a Woman of Spirit ambassador: the representative of free women, freethinkers and leaders of tomorrow. Lady Phyll has spent her life building safe spaces and communities for LGBTQ+ people of colour, campaigning against racism, homophobia, sexism and discrimination. Her hope for the future is 'to live in a world where there’s no longer a need for Pride or Black Pride and where everyone of every community is accepted.'
This Summer, you can join Stonewall and Radley London with a wearable statement of your values and give more with your fashion choices.
