Essential clothing reimagined with an easy-going style and an eco-responsible approach is what Saywood brings to your everyday look.
Decoding The "Saywood Look"
There are shirts with voluminous sleeves, utility and Cuban shirts, oversized shirtdresses, blouses, culottes, A-line wide-leg shorts and a range of hair accessories. Each piece begins life as a smart, perfectly cut wardrobe essential before being given a contemporary edge that helps create an unmistakable ‘Saywood look’, bringing a sense of ease and personality to the most classic items.
Prices range from £20 for accessories to £385 for the Black Japanese Denim Rosa Puff Sleeve Shirt Dress. In addition to womenswear, Saywood also covers menswear and homeware.
Meet the Designer: Harriet Saywood-Bellisario
The London-based slow-fashion brand was launched in 2020 by Harriet Saywood-Bellisario, a graduate of the London College of Fashion. Harriet's portfolio includes a designer position at Paul Smith and previous roles at Richard Nicoll and Label/Mix, before creating her eponymous brand. As a brand, Saywood represents her sense of style and conscious lifestyle values with luxuriously sustainable shirts and shirtdresses that are made to last. Each piece conveys a sense of simplicity and authenticity.
Sustainable Approach
Every Saywood design is produced with sustainably sourced materials, longevity and circularity in mind. The fabrics are all sustainably sourced, including Japanese denim from the Okayama district, deadstock cotton from Riopele in Portugal, recycled cotton yarn and Supima cotton from Canclini in Italy – where the natural indigo Japanese denim is also sourced – and cellulose fibres from Lenzing and Eastman. Shirts call for buttons, and Saywood could not skip this tiny but essential detail. All buttons are in Codelite® – a natural and biodegradable material derived from milk proteins – and corozo.
Slow down and wear positivity with Saywood.
