Antonio Marras pays homage to his city with his theatrical Autumn/Winter 2025 men's and women's haute couture collection: "La Bella d'Alghero"

Presented at Milano Fashion Week, Antonio Marras' "La Bella d'Alghero" Autumn/Winter 2025 collection deserves to be staged in a first-class theatre.

About La Bella d'Alghero Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection: Concept And Inspiration

For his Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, Antonio Marras draws inspiration from "La Bella d'Alghero", a two-act melodrama written in 1892 by Giovanni Fara Musio and put to music by Antonio Boschini. The piece is set in Alghero, the stylist's hometown in Sardinia, and tells about the love for a beautiful girl disputed between two rivals. Alghero plays a prominent role in Marras' aesthetic and, once again, it is the centre or centre stage of his collection. The world of theatre, a photographic use of light and shadow, roses and hand-drawn detail enrich the concept of Antonio Marras' collection.

About The Collection: Sartorial Touches

Like the plot of the story revolving around two opponents, the main feature of "La Bella d'Alghero" is the thoughtful choice of contrasting fabrics. The timeless sophistication of Ottoman jacquard and Prince of Wales meets without clashing with the irresistible appeal of modern materials like leather and denim. Both men's and women's pieces see an organic juxtaposition of patterns and appliqués: checks and herringbone, patch inserts and hand-printed design, pleats and embroideries, fabric overlays and tasteful transparencies elevate the mood of Marras' creations.

Contrasts can also be appreciated in the silhouettes designed for men and women with micro and maximalist layered combinations, body-hugging garments followed by voluminous pieces.

Antonio Marras focuses on structural and decorative details and their flawless conversation with brushstrokes, drawings, sketches, signs, ciumpulls and cioroddus – as the people of Alghero call their artistic mishaps – directly created by the designer on the garments. Clothes are like blank sheets on which to pour his signature motifs: hands, roses, stripes, dots, lines, and portraits. As Antonio Marras states: "I am passionate about giving a voice to seemingly mute things so that they become garments that speak."

Sharon Stone And Aron Piper At Antonio Marras Fashion Show

Two exceptional guests attended Antonio Marras' Autumn/Winter 2025 fashion show in Milan. Seated in the front row, American actress and producer Sharon Stone and Spanish actor Arón Piper could be seen wearing the designer's creations and perfectly embracing his signature style. Sharon wore a knitwear set from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection and the Antine bag, while Arón wore an ivory suit from the Resort collection, paired with an Alghero silk foulard.
