Adidas and Gucci combine creative codes to make something uniquely new. Meet their new collection.

Everything started with rumours and pictures over social media and earlier this year both brands confirmed it was not a mirage but indeed a project in the making but - at long last - the day has come. As far as fashion collaborations go, this doesn’t even come close to a typical one. The lookbook features over 60 images, from the iconic Adidas Gazelle Sneakers stamped with the Gucci logo to the famous Gucci clogs with the three stripes front and centre.

Exploring The World Of Adidas And Gucci

The collection blends nostalgia and contemporary style, drawing inspiration from previous decades. If we take a look at the trends at the moment you’ll notice how much of them are influenced by the past. The collection is spot on - at the right time for the right audience. The lookbook includes both men and women streetwear. We're talking luxe hoodies, matching knit sets, and a hint of Gucci on your tracksuits. For those of you who love Tennis and Golf are in for a treat, you can scroll through the website and you are guaranteed to find something special for your next game. And if you are not a sports fan Adidas and Gucci have you covered. As well as athletic wear, the collection includes sophisticated separates such as flared trousers, pencil skirts, and triple-stripe dresses. When it comes to exploring the lookbook, keep one thing in mind - there is plenty of choice, which means there is something for everyone. If you think you are not a fan of this collaboration maybe you just haven’t found ‘your’ piece yet.

How To Get Your Hands On The Collection

The entire collection is available to shop in select Gucci stores or by simply visiting Gucci’s website. If you are more of a fan of the three stripes rather than the House you can jump on the Adidas Confirmed app and look at the limited pieces that have been uploaded there. It sounds pretty simple but there's one more way to get your hands on the Gucci x Adidas collection but it’s only for those who can get to California fast enough. They are opening two pop-up stores, one in the Los Angeles Melrose shopping centre and the other in South Coast Plaza's Jewel Court. When you visit, you'll discover a storefront covered in a retro print inspired by the trefoil logos of Gucci and Adidas. To elevate the experience the space will be decorated with vintage furniture nodding to the collection’s ‘70s influence. Later on the brand will open pop-ups outside the West Coast at existing Gucci store locations, such as New York City, Chicago, and Toronto.

Fancy some Gucci Gazelle Sneakers? Or maybe an Adidas dress? Everyone is talking about the collaboration. If you want to grab a little something new to add to your wardrobe you need to act fast and jump over to their website. If you just want to see the garments and accessories keep an eye for the pop-up stores and where their next location may be.

In December 2021 rumours were spreading about an upcoming collaboration of the Italian fashion house Gucci and the sports brand Adidas. All we were holding onto was a photo of a Gucci, Adidas monogram, no other details.

High-fashion and sportswear. Adidas and Gucci are ready to take over the fashion industry this year with an exciting upcoming collaboration

The good news is that a couple of days ago, 26th of February, the rumours were confirmed. Gucci unveiled more details about the collaboration with Adidas during its A/W22 presentation. It seems like this will be of the hottest collaborations of the year even though the collection is still yet to be released.

Adidas And Gucci: The Collaboration

Adidas has a history of collaborating with high-fashion brands, such as Prada and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. This year it is time for Gucci to embrace the Three Stripes. Adidas confirmed the collaboration via sharing an image on Twitter showing their logo along with Gucci branding underneath. According to Adidas, this forthcoming project “combines the heritage and the creative codes of both brands”.

About The Collection

The collection made its debut on the runway at Milan Fashion Week 22. A variety of hats, corsets, capes, double-breasted blazers, heeled sneakers were adorned with Gucci monograms, the Trefoil logo and co-branded logos. The vintage aesthetic of the label does most of the work, while The Three Stripes shows up from time to time. As always, the sportswear brand gives the label creative freedom on the design and presentation of the products. The colour palette consisted of mostly shades of royal purple, bright red, sequin-studded greens, and glossy reds. It is no coincidence that the name of the fashion show was “Exquisite Gucci”. It lived up to its expectations and once again did not disappoint the fans.

How do you feel about three-stripe berets or a cape? What about a giant leather bag? None of the brands has released any official information on when we can expect the collection or what it will feature. All we know is that it is happening. We do not know about you, but we expect to see signature garments, footwear and accessories of both brands but with a new and innovative design that highlights the collaboration.

London Fashion Film Festival 2016 (LFFF)

After my trip to Mexico City and attending the inaugural Mexico Fashion Film Festival earlier this year, I can’t wait to see the latest fashion films in London.

“Each year the London Fashion Film Festival host a variety of screenings centred on the subject of fashion and film, giving Londoners, film and fashion enthusiasts the chance to watch a number of iconic movies in the heart of the capital. As well as the main Festival, there will be a number of warm up events leading up to the Festival and the opportunity to take part in master classes and discussions with some of the industry’s most well-known names and faces."

New (and Old) Fashion Trends Leopard print is making its mark on the runways (again!) “Leopard print is a symbol of sensuality, confidence, and a liberated state of mind.” says Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci in the latest issue of Vogue magazine. “When a woman puts on a leopard-print coat, she is unapologetic in all that she stands for.”

Other trends to look forward to: plush velvet suits, pleated skirts, oversized coats & jackets, punk-inspired details, high-end streetwear, eclectic mishmash, colourful tights, bold embellishments, hats, and pretty in-pink vibe.

A Wearable Fitness Tracker Public School’s collaboration with Fitbit, the Silicon Valley brand, may be one of the coolest partnerships this season.

Launching in October, the Type III Paracord bracelet (inspired by military parachutes) allows users to customise the Fitbit Alta and track their fitness progress: calories burnt, activity levels, and even hours slept each night. The device also offers call and text alerts and promises to keep you motivated during (and in between) your workout routine. Unlike many tech gadgets on the market, this smart accessory has a genuine style and it may become super popular with both fashion and fitness crowd.

Have a fabulous Autumn! :)
