Three years ago Benefit embarked on a bold brow mission.. to create a collection that would magically solve each and every brow dilemma.

Get The Charley Monroe Look
The talented designer and our very own Britain’s Top Designer winner Helen Woollams CEO of fashion house ‘Hellavagirl’ dressed previous X Factor Contestant Charley Monroe last weekend for The Essex Entertainment Awards.
For the Essex awards we opted for one her Helen’s signature pieces from her A/W16 collection The Birds. Helen then designed and made a bespoke shoulder piece to attach to the dress.
I decided to create a makeup look that was quite glam but remembering that it also needed to be quirky to match Charley’s style. So after prepping Charley’s skin with my favourite skincare products from Nude, Clarins and Dr.Paw Paw I created the perfect look.
I went for flawless skin with a strong bronze contour and highlight, defined brows, a gold sparkling glitter eye over a smoky green and brown winged base and a black eyeliner flick as long as the winged out eye makeup. This added that quirkiness in the look. I then added lots of thickening mascara and a slightly winged pair of false lashes.
I finished the look with the most beautiful shade of red lipstick and pencil from the new GWEN STEFANI range by Urban Decay.
I did a slight wave in her hair pinned to one side and applied long stiletto nails painted in the same shade of red as her lipstick and added gold leaf to match some of the embellishments in the shoulder piece that Helen had made.
Charley looked incredible and guess what? She WON!

Hellavagirl AW16 - ‘The Birds’
The inspiration for this collection came from a number of elements, so many Helen suddenly felt quite overwhelmed at the outset, then her goal was clear.
Sparkle with glitter this Christmas using Mac Cosmetics
Dress up your look over the Christmas period by adding some sparkle with cosmetic glitter, lip glosses and nail polish.
Twisted Curls Of The Birds Nest
The brief was to come up with a current punk theme, to set the collection off. Heavy sultry eyes, full lips and big hair inspired by Edwardian theme but deconstructed to look punk also the pin curls inspired by the movement of the clothing but remaining sharp.
The result is Avant Garde punk perfect to show case Helens collection.
The Makeup
Black intense smoky eye paired with a red lip, combined together to bring out the inner confidents and personality of every women! Not afraid to be different and stand out of the crowed. Delicate yet a show stopper. Every girls envy…She’s a Drama Queen!
The Hair
Hair was made up of lots of hair prices and extensions and another look of barrelled curls and pin curls a vintage method turned punk for the day.

How to get that perfect Halloween look
Your make-up on Halloween is just as essential as your outfit. As an added extra this Halloween I have decided to change the colour of my eyes for the night. This is to create the perfect spooky look. To change the colour of my dark brown eyes I used contact lenses from VisionDirect.co.uk. The colours I had to choose from were amethyst, turquoise and gemstone green.
I picked amethyst as purple is my favourite colour and amethyst is quite close to that. They looked amazing when I put them in, as my eyes are dark brown the contacts did not look that bright on top of my own eyes but the subtle amethyst colour on top of them gave them a Halloween glow. I was now ready to sort out my Halloween make-up. First I had to choose what I would go as, as I had been invited to few Halloween parties and my aim was to stand out and look my best.
After an hour of racking my brain and searching the Internet for ideas I decided on a vampy look with a spiders web to complement it. Who wouldn’t love a vampy look with a creepy spiders web? To achieve the right look I went to Chez Titine salon in Leamington Spa. Jane who is a qualified make-up artist always does an excellent job and I knew if I attempted the look myself things could go terribly wrong. With Jane’s help I was on the way to a Halloween look I could be proud of.
1. Jane started the look by dabbing on white face paint to all areas of my face (this was done using a cloth).
2. Black eye shadow was then brushed onto my forehead, cheekbones and chin.
3. Using a black eye pencil Jane filled in my eyebrows so they would stand out.
4. Jane then concentrated on my eyes using a black eye pencil to draw on my top and bottom eyelids and then finally flicking the pencil slightly at the end for a winged effect.
5. Black eye shadow was then added to the eyeliner to make my eyes pop. This was added to both the top and bottom of my eyelids.
6. Using black eyeliner Jane proceeded to draw on the spider web above and below my eye. Jane referred to a picture as she did this.
7. My lips then had black lip liner drawn around them.
8. Red lip liner was then used to draw inside of the black lip liner.
9. The last step was the colouring in of my lips with red lipstick.
In the picture posted above you can see me without the contacts, then with the contacts and white face paint and then the completed look.
