London fashion entrepreneur Mark Ashton drives young fashion in the UK
Fashion entrepreneur Mark Ashton was announced as one of the top influential people in fashion last week, when he was listed in the Drapers Power List for 2011.

Mark Ashton is Managing Director of Concept Fashion Agency, one of the UK's fastest growing branded fashion agencies, which has represented some of the most sought after brands in the UK fashion sector and taken them into multi-million pound businesses.

Despite the current economic climate, trading at Concept Fashion is going extremely well and Mark Ashton believes their success is down to responding to the needs of the industry and producing products that are better than the competitions.

Concept Fashion Agency currently manages a portfolio of brands which includes Ichi, Saint Tropez and their own short order brand Little Mistress. Responding to indies demands Mark Ashton launched Little Mistress as a short-order women's young fashion brand for spring 11, to provide fast injections of fresh, on-trend stock, which retailers crave as many move away from heavy forward orders.

The Little Mistress brand has been a roaring success attracting a private investment from a silent party which has enabled the brand to open a first store in London's Westfield Stratford City with a plan to open 20 more stores across the UK by the end of 2013. With a full programme of development and marketing planned for 2012; collections in more stockists across the UK from Spring and working with Lauren Pope from TOWIE to launch a 'Lauren Pope for Little Mistress' collection – the brand is sure to grow from strength to strength in 2012.

Mark Ashton started Concept Fashion six years ago, having worked in various sales roles including six years at [sportswear manufacturer] DB Actif, which held the licence for the Elle brand; area manager at Champion Sports, which was owned by Burton Group at the time and six years as menswear manager at the Giorgio Armani store in Manchester.
