Fashion Weeks are excellent opportunities for the media and the public to see what is going on in the feverish minds of some of the most creative people on the planet.
From Graduate Fashion Week to London Fashion Week, there is something for everyone who wants to learn more about the latest styles and what celebrities will probably be wearing. Here we look at the major fashion weeks and give a taster of what you can expect if you are lucky enough to be invited to one of these absolutely stellar events.

The first major fashion week to hit the circuit is Graduate fashion Week. This exciting event showcases all of the talent that is coming out of the top fashion courses around the UK. So expect a lot of young, fresh talent and plenty of glimpses into the future of British fashion. Some of the most famous names in fashion were discovered at the Graduate Fashion Week so it is a vitally important part of the industry. If you were lucky enough to bag yourself a ticket, the show is still on and should most definitely be enjoyed by anyone with even a remote interest in fashion.

In this year's London Fashion week an exclusive opportunity to showcase your designs is open to anyone who is anyone in fashion. Some of the biggest and brightest stars in fashion will be there. It is a way off yet, with the actual week starting in mid September, but designers are already gearing up to show off their latest creations to the world's media. Expect designers like Vivienne Westwood to show up, as well as fine menswear designers like Tom Ford. Everyone who is anyone in the world of fashion will be there to show the world what he or she can do.

If you blinked, you would have missed New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Week, which took place throughout January to March this year. Paris Fashion Week is perhaps the most exclusive fashion week in the world due to the fact that the French have the most ingrained and the most sophisticated sense of fashion among all nationalities. The French crowd are to easy to please, so expect a bit of tension when some of the bigger designers come out to show off their latest collection. If you didn't catch it this year, watch out for it next year, when it is sure to set further trends for worldwide followers of fashion.

Emerging trends have been surprising, to say the least. The mock tee has made a bit of a comeback, and while it may seem a little unfashionable to mere mortals, it is taking the fashion show circuit by storm. Expect plenty of roaring twenties style due to the release of The Great Gatsby this year too. This film has made an impact on style already.

Fashion weeks are great opportunities to show off your work if you are a designer, and see the fashion world up close if you are a member of the public.
