Diva Face Of Colour 2014

The Hilton tower bridge was invaded by a sea of immaculately dressed women of all colors who had come together to show their support against domestic violence for the 1st Diva Face of Colour 2014.

Founded by Faustina Anyanwu (aka Fauntee) Diva Face of Colour was a very stylish event which included a Diva Face of Colour face of my black women competition to win a to become the face of Divas of colour and also win a £500 cash shipping spree, a weekend stay in five star hotel.

Five women outstanding women of colour who were thought by the panel to have brought dignity and integrity to black women were chosen and honour during the event. The five women were: Maya Angelou, Michelle Obama, Onyeka Onwenu, Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Oprah Winfrey and Betty Makoni.

The women that were honoured on the day were - Betty Makoni, Sen, Grace Bent, and Hon. Abike Dabiri,

Women awarded diva ambassador of the year - Pauline Long, Yvonne P Witter, Tonia Dabwe, Nkechi Rita.

JODelyn London won the diva designer of the year.

Guest were treated to were treated to a performances by south London singing sensation Kimona Damelo Ibitola O Adebuyo Read a passage from her book ACCEPTANCE and Jemi Steel the national ambassador for Domestic Violence gave a talk and answered some questions from the audience.

Face of Diva Face of Colour competition show cased a number of beauties who were also very intelligent and articulate. The panel of judges which included: Adebayo Jones, Dorothy Osei-Mensah (Dee Maat), Eryca Fremantle, and Kwame Koranteng.

I loved the fact that the judges were very encouraging to the girls and gave them wonderful feedback.
