Boom Burger, the Jamaican-influenced burger company, has announced the launch of its second site, launching in early February in Brixton, a year after opening on Portobello Road.
Offering both a dine-in and take-away service and a large outdoor seated area next to Brixton Market, the new venue will offer the chance to enjoy Head Chef and founder Josh De Lisser's Jamaican take on the burger experience, with Caribbean flavours at the heart of the concept. The menu will contain a number of Brixton exclusives with some new specials, extra hot sauces and a larger drinks selection available. These will sit alongside favourites like plantain fries, the Jerk (chicken) Burger, the Pork Boom and the classic Boom Burger with bacon jam. House mayo comes pepped up with Scotch Bonnets, and sides include the Jerk Wings and Stamp & Go salt fish fritters. The restaurant will seat approximately 30 diners on the ground floor and an additional number outside. The kitchen will be housed in the basement and the restaurant will be open six days a week: Tuesday to Sunday, 12 noon to 11pm. The restaurant will operate a no-bookings policy and will launch with a 50% food discount during the soft opening.
