Yes, it’s still the middle of summer and the spring 2016 catwalk shows seem like months away, but in actual fact, London Fashion Week is practically around the corner, starting on the 18th September.

But this coming fashion week is set to be a little different compared to previous years. First of all, the opulent and rather stunning Somerset House will no longer be the prime location for the catwalk shows. Instead, LFW will be moving to Brewer Street underground car park in Soho. This move will aim to showcase British talent and design in a trendier, more quirky manner and will no doubt be an exciting change for the throng of fashion press flocking to see the shows. In total, 16 of the 77 LFW shows will take place in the heart of Soho.

Secondly, with the spring/summer 2016 LFW timetable released this week, there are a number of new and exciting brands showing on the agenda. Versus, the slick and sexy diffusion line of Versace, will not show in Paris this year but in London. Anthony Vaccerello, the creative director of the brand, will therefore be proudly showing off his spring 2016 creations on our shores, after he was drawn into the allure of showcasing his collection in London.

Other interesting labels set to show are Hill & Friends, by Emma Hill the former Mulberry Creative Director, Ryan- Lo, Ashley William and old favourites such as Peter Jensen and Zhandra Rhodes who will be making a triumphant return of London Fashion Week.

New faces, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Molly Goddard are also interesting young designers to watch out for as well as the big British names, such as Burberry, Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane and Vivienne Westwood.
