Ysbryd Tawel Couture by Lindsay Davis will mesmerise the audience at Fashions Finest S/S25 LFW event with other-wordly creations.
About Ysbryd Tawel Couture By Lindsay Davis
Lindsay is a self-taught designer based in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. She has previously designed under the name Maria LeFaye Couture for 11 years in the Midlands before taking a 6-year break.
She returned in 2024 under the new design name of Ysbryd Tawel (Quiet Spirit) as a reflection of the changes that she has experienced during her break from the scenes and also to reflect her new outlook. When asked about her new design name she stated:
"When I first started to look into returning to design work I felt that I could not return to Maria LeFaye Couture as for me it represented a different time in my life, which I have moved on from. I feel in the past 6 years my life has completely changed in every aspect so I wanted to design under a new name where I could showcase my revived creativity and overall outlook on life. I feel I am more adventurous when it comes to my designs and trust my instinct a lot more when working on pieces, I'm not afraid to show my 'weirdness'' in my work or show my full design range anymore."
Lindsay's designs range from easy-to-wear dresses to corsets and ornate hand-finished gowns, often with a twist.
"I enjoy the wonderfully dark and weird, and also draw a lot of inspiration from art, literature and music. I also find inspiration from the beautiful area I now call home, being around the sea and nature and seeing the juxtaposition of the old with the modern is really influential in my work."
Ysbryd Tawel Couture Presents The Armoured Heart Collection
At Fashions Finest showcase during London Fashion Week S/S25, Ysbryd Tawel Couture by Lindsay Davis is going to present "Armoured Heart", at the core of which is a woman whose body has grown armour around her due to the cruelty of the world. As the collection progresses, she drops her armour and embraces her true form becoming comfortable with her body and embracing the new world she has created.
