Christian Louboutin is suing Yves Saint Laurent, charging the fashion house for copying his famous red-sole trademark.
This January, Louboutin learned that Yves Saint Laurent was selling red-soles at a number of fashion outlets Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, to name a few. It has been said that Louboutin repeatedly asked Yves Saint Laurent to stop selling the shoes but he continued to do so. Designer Loubotin decided enough was enough and took legal action and is now seeking more than $1 million in damages for alleged trademark infringement and counterfeiting of his shoes.
