Redress and VF Corporation, parent house of Kipling®, collaborated again after the success of the Redress Design Award 2019 Made For Change Challenge in Hong Kong. The first competition amongst Redress Alumni aimed to find the designer for a sustainable collection based on circular design principles and using VF Corporation deadstock, end-of-roll fabrics, or innovative recycled fabrics. The winning design had the privilege to become a limited-edition capsule collection retail exclusively in Kipling stores from November 15th, 2021 across APAC.
Fashions Finest held residence at the Grand Connaught Rooms in 61-65 Great Queen Street, Holborn, London.
QVC fashion expert and TV & Radio presenter Laura Naylor host the acclaimed Britain's Top Designer Awards on the night.
Front row were Charley Monroe (X-factor), Actress Kelly Adams – (Hustle, Selfridges), Miss England, Princes Trust Ambassador Lewis-Duncan Weedon (Princess Trust Ambassador & celebrity), who showed their support to Britain’s emerging design talent.
At 8 pm head judge celebrity stylist Bernard Connolly was joined by Princes Trust Ambassador and celebrity stylist Lewis-Duncan Weedon, presenter and stylist Lola Royle and fashion expert publicist Melanie Jones from the eponymous Melanie Jones PR agency.
Designer Helen Woollams of Hellavagirl received the Britain’s Top Designer Award and won judges over with an unconventional, innovative and opulent collection inspired by Hitchcock’s Birds for her visionary collection.
