Let’s face it guys when we wake up its dark. When we leave work its dark, its overcast, it’s rainy and even though spring is on the horizon its not here yet. We need to take things in to our own hands!

Brighten up your wardrobe with the most cheerful colour in the rainbow Canary, lemon, citron, and marigold. I’m talking about yellow baby already spotted in the SS16 catwalks shows of Burberry and Christopher Kane this trend is going to be major this summer so why not get a head start.

Whether you colour block or just opt for a pop this colour will defiantly brighten up your day.

Floral prints, are a classic pattern and a stable in so many of our wardrobes. And as in nature it heralds the coming of Spring when flowers are in bloom and our senses are tantalise with beautiful smells and colour. So this coming Spring season whether it is daisies or roses make your floral tribute a memorable one!!
Flower designs range from dainty and delicate to big and bold, each kind carrying its own personality and character. Choose a pattern that works with your personal taste and style.

Do not pile on accessories when wearing striking prints as you want the print to shine.

Smaller and dainty prints can bring a feminine and romantic touch to a day or evening look.

If you want to make a statement then choose pieces with larger flowers, bright colors, vibrant designs and eye-catching details.

For a slimming effect opt for dresses with flowers going down the center as this will draw the eye in, creating a slimming illusion.

Floral prints typically come in multiple colors, giving you plenty of styling possibilities. So when pairing items, wear clothing in coordinating colors to create a cohesive look. This also gives you the option of creating different looks with just one item. So pay attention to the pattern's colors, and choose one or two, then work around it when pairing items.

Floral prints also look good with solid neutral shades. These colors include black, white, gray, taupe, ivory and beige. The 2016 Pantone colors are Rose Quartz and Serenity a soft mix of baby pink and baby blue.
Rose Quartz with its gentle tone conveying compassion and a sense of composure.

The secret to wearing Pantone 2016’s colors is to pair items to make up your own combination of the solid tones, rather than trying to find items with both of these shades in it. This does not mean that, you have to find one piece with both of these colors in it, instead try to mix and match items to create the same effect.

Pair with tailored silhouettes and rich textures to counter balance the delicate hues of sugary sweetness. Fabrics like silk make these two tones look really sophisticated.

January 2016, the first month of a new year, exciting, daunting and freaking amazing because we get a do over. A blank slate to never ever again make the same fashion mistakes, to not buy that shade of foundation, lipstick or eyeshadow because it simply did not bring out the best in us. You will, like every other year, decide to live and be better. But this year you are going to stick to it, because you have finally learned that in order to be better, you need to let go and avoid the mistakes of last year.

So what are you going to do this new year;

You are going to love yourself more

You are going to stop focusing on how you look and stop comparing your beauty to those around you

You are going to get to know and understand your body shape

You are going to wear colors that suits your skin tone and brings out the best in you

You will pamper yourself at least once a week and this will include manicures, pedicures and a facial

You will watch what you eat and drink because what you put into your body usually shows on the outside

Have you ever found yourself looking at a pair of shoes, boots or trainers and thought to yourself I’d love those if the bows were a different colour, in a different place or they had some more detail to them, maybe even more bling?

Now we are in that magical but cold season we all need to keep warm while we are visiting Christmas fairs/markets or you’re out doing early or last minute Christmas shopping.

There's something about the festivities that makes us want to do something special with our wardrobe style. More so for those of us who spend Christmas time celebrating the birth of Christ- the reason for the season!
