What To Get The Man In Your Life This Christmas
Signs You Need To Rethink About Your Beauty Routine
Ariix Prime Calm: How to Get Forty Winks whether you’re Four or Forty
A little while ago, I was offered to trial Ariix Prime oil in Calm as I’d posted on my social media that I had had some trouble sleeping. Not least, so had my children and this meant our house had turned into a bunch of nocturnal bats!
Lisa Michelle Pugh, CEO of Diamond Boss, sent me a message asking me if I would like to try her product. Now, in all honesty, I usually either don’t bother reading such messages or I politely decline. In this case, I had been following Leah for a while and thought she seemed to be a lovely reliable girl so I took her up on the offer.
A few days later my little parcel arrived and our journey back to forty winks avenue commenced.
Ariix Prime is fundamentally an essential oil. This is what they say:
“Prime is the easy, natural solution you’ve been looking for to restore harmony in your life”. That’s a pretty bold statement!
So, did it restore harmony in mine? This is what we did.
For the children, I carried out the usual routine of bath, story and bed but in introducing Calm I explained that I had been sent a magic potion to help my children sleep. With ingredients including Neroli, Bergamot and Roman Chamomile, it smells divine. When I opened the children’s oil (pre-mixed by Lisa with a carrier of coconut oil), my three year old son said “Mummy, it smells like Italy!”. Being an Italian family, my children are used to the smell of fresh lemon and sure enough Ariix Calm either smells like an Italian lemon grove, or if you’re Northern English like me, a good old dollop of Lemon Meringue! It smells good enough to eat.
I gently massaged it into the children’s temples and pulse points, as advised by Lisa, and tucked them in. They were asleep within minutes and were so rested they didn’t wake all night. I had to physically drag my four year old daughter out of bed at toilet time! Thinking it was a fluke, I followed the same routine a second, third and fourth night until my magic potion had run out. The same thing happened. Ariix Calm was successful in restoring harmony to my children’s sleep, so much so that they were quite annoyed when it had finished.
I’m not a beauty or pamper kind of girl and I confess to going to bed with panda eyes having not washed off my makeup. Horrific I know, but oh well. So, the thought of making time before flopping into bed to massage my temples was a bit alien to me. However, it was bliss! I made time for a quick facial, I used my Ariix Calm as advised by Lisa (she provided a neat potion without carrier oil for me) and low and behold, I slept like a baby!
So whether you’re four or forty, Ariix Calm is a huge winner for me! I’m not an essential user or buyer and I don’t normally entertain such things but I’m glad that I trusted Lisa enough to give it a go.
An actress and drama teacher, Lisa is clearly an entrepreneurial bossbabe! She is a lovely lady and provided a lot of information with the parcel as well as pre and post follow ups which I thought was extra considerate. I would highly recommend Lisa and Ariix if essential oils are your thing!

Keep It Up!
We all get super excited about the new year and our goal to get fit and healthy. We spend tons of money on fitness gear, clothes and gym memberships only to give it up come March.
So why not try something different to help you, keep it up!!
Kickstart your children’s confidence (if you have kids, if not your niece and nephews will do)
Do this by incorporating a physical activity into their everyday routine. It can be to play catch, dance while doing chores around the house, or a fun weekend activity like cycling or walks in the park. Exercise should be fun so turn it into a family activity rather than a chore.
Be Mindful
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment. Pick an activity where you normally zone out and try to stay focused and in the moment while doing it. This is not easy but, it will contribute to a happier state of mind.
Find Your Fitness
Instead of investing in an expensive gym membership, buy a skipping rope, you can pick it up anytime during the day and skip for about 20 minutes it works the whole body or try a HIIT workout. Find some great workouts on Tone It Up
Workout wear available @ www.newlook.com
Take The Right Vitamin Supplements
Instead of buying up the whole health store, focus on what your body really needs. A multivitamin will top you up your health-supporting nutrients that are lacking from your diet. Omega-3 will boost your immune system. You can incorporate this through eating fish such as salmon and tuna.
Healthier Snacks
Fill up during the day with fresh fruit and unsalted nuts.
Sleep
Not getting enough sleep is bad for your skin, mental wellbeing, weight and immune system. Try to sleep for at least seven to eight hours a night. Create a routine by going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. Also try to switch your phone off before bedtime.
Invest In A Juicer Or Blender
Saving on a gym membership means you can invest in a good blender or juicer for healthy juices and smoothies. Combine your favorite fruits or try kiwi, banana, spinach, cucumber, ginger and lime for a nutritious drink.
White Elixir: A Tea To Help Smooth Your Complexion
I am obsessed with tea, most of the women in my family are. It seems to keep me warm in the winter yet keep me cool in the summer. There is virtually nothing that having a cup of tea will not solve or at least I like to think there isn’t. I imagine that with every sip my problem gets that little bit smaller. So when I was given the opportunity to review Quinteassential’s award winning White Elixir tea I jumped at the chance. The tea is said to promote a smooth complexion and inner glow. It is a white tea infused with Jasmine flowers, gingko leaves and spirulina algae. The Jasmine and gingko complement each other exceedingly well and it contains the perfect amount of Jasmine.
When made the tea has a wonderful aroma and it tastes amazing when you have it both hot and cold. I suggest that when you buy it, you try it both ways. White Elixir tea is what I would use to impress a lunch date or my Mother on the morning of her birthday. This tea is bound to brighten up anyone’s day and comes well presented in a posh colourful box that is suitable to give as a gift to even your fussiest of friends. It really is the perfect tea for all tea lovers.
How to make White Elixir tea:
1. Boil Kettle
2. Scoop one teaspoon of loose tea and place in one of the tea bags
3. Close teabag with one of the sticks provided
4. Pour boiled water over teabag and leave to brew for two minutes
5. Sip tea and relax

Be:fit London 2015
Over the Bank Holiday weekend i went along to Be:Fit London, the only women's fitness show in town!
I'm not exactly a health freak but i have been in the Gym recently trying to get sexy for the summer so I figured it worth coming down to see if I could get some tips.
I attended Be:fit London last year but other than that i am a Fitness expo virgin so i didn't know what to expect.
Last year I had a blast but the only complaint i had was there wasn't as much venders as I expected and the venue was kind of small (Even if it was nice to be by the river). That wouldn't be an issue this year as Be:fit was now in a new location the Design and Business centre; and I am happy to say there was loads of different brands to meet, as well as a wide range of fitness classes to join in, expert talks, cooking demos, etc.
I loved that there was also dedicated chill-out areas, where you could go hang out and regroup when it gets a bit too over whelming.
In all I had a lovely time but I wish I allowed myself more time there as there was so much to see, taste, and demo.
Did you get to attend Be:fit London over the weekend?
What were your thoughts?
