Finding the swimwear style that feels right for your body shape is not that easy but we will help you choose the definitive best fit for you with the right tips.

Whether you are searching for high-waisted bikini bottom swimsuits or a comfortable one-piece, the most important thing is selecting the right swimsuit that will showcase your body perfectly on the beach. Here are a few styles you can choose depending on your body shape.

Curvy Body Shape

If you have fuller breasts, hips, thighs, and/or bottom, pick a swimsuit that flatters your curves while still giving you the support and coverage you need to feel confident and beautiful. Use contrasting hues to draw attention to the features you want to be highlighted and to downplay the features you want to conceal.

Highlight your figure with the smart use of colour blocking and use fabric structures to move the attention exactly where you want: by using panelling and ruching, you can hide your stomach and make it seem flatter; while with halter necklines and asymmetrical suits, you can attract attention to the neckline.

A design with horizontal stripes can lengthen your body while flatteringly clinging to your contours. Wearing a pattern that goes from your breast to your hips or even over your body can make you seem taller and slimmer.

Little to No Curves

The main goal for women who lack curves is to choose swimwear that creates the appearance of a more curvy silhouette. Trying swimwear with strong designs, horizontal lines, ruffles, and embellishments may make your upper and lower curves look more defined.

You can use a push-up bra or padded top to draw attention to your bust; while smaller bikini bottoms will make your bottom look larger and curvier. Less-coverage swimsuits are ideal for ladies with no curves too.

Pear-Shaped

The pear shape body type is the most common. If you have this body shape, you can try to balance out your proportions. If you want to emphasise your upper body, choose a swimsuit that accentuates your bust but here it is essential to have enough coverage for your lower half.

The most figure-flattering swimwear for a pear-shaped lady is a one-piece swimsuit, also known as a tankini. If you want to draw attention to your bust go for a top in a bold shade and if you want to hide your legs, choose a bottom with a solid hue.

Choose anything with a plunging neckline, off-the-shoulder, or a cutout to emphasise your curves and lift your shoulders.

Tummy Balance

If you tend to pack on the pounds around your middle, your first goal should be to help minimise that area. Choose a swimsuit that shows off your legs without revealing too much skin around your chest and stomach.

For a slimmer, more toned appearance, go for a one-piece swimsuit that conceals rather than exposes your stomach. With panelling and ruching, you may conceal your stomach and make it seem smaller.

A tankini will slim your waist and you can create the illusion of a longer torso by placing graphics along the centre of the body. One note: stay away from low-rise bottoms and bikini sets.

Full Bust

If you have a full bust, pick a top that will support you well. Sturdy straps, underwire, and preformed cups will offer you comfort and support while shaping your bust. Try on swimwear with bra cup sizes D, DD, and E to ensure a comfortable fit even if you have a fuller bust.

If you want to accentuate your bust, use a top with a V-shaped neckline or a halter neck. You should stay away from anything with slender straps, push-ups, padding, frills, or decorations on the chest area.

Small Bust

If you have a small bust, choose a top that gives the impression of more curves. Improving the appearance of your bust size is as simple as wearing a top with horizontal lines, ruffles, ornate embellishments, bows, or patterns. Padded or push-up shirts are excellent for adding curves and cleavage, as well as wearing a halter or triangle bikini top to highlight your bust.

Final Thoughts

When you go shopping for your next swimsuit, keep in mind that the fabric will expand when it gets wet. If you are uncertain about which size you should be choosing, you are better off picking the smaller one. Use our simple tips to help you figure out what type of swimsuit would be perfect according to your body shape. You can also practice some self-love and accept your body as it is: beautiful and perfect altogether.

Swimwear, and we mean good swimwear isn’t cheap. Maybe it’s time to invest in a really good piece of kit. Especially if after tucking yourself in and pushing yourself up that bikini doesn’t reflect the juicy piece of fruit that you are.

5 Pool Party Outfits to Make a Splash In

5 Pool Party Outfits to Make a Splash In

The sun, the heat, the cocktail in your hand as you lounge by the pool, tanning your smooth, glowing body. There's nothing like a poolside party to remind you that life can be really easy and wonderful sometimes. With the warmer weather coming our way you're bound to get invited to a bunch of events, so how do you make the most out of them?

How do you show off some incredible style skills, feel comfortable, and still manage to swim a few laps and enjoy the cool water? Well, ladies, we've got you covered. Read on for some tips and outfit ideas!

1. Prep Your Face And Body First

Prep your face and body first

No outfit is going to look good if you're feeling insecure, so in order to avoid that, you first need to prep your face and body. A short workout right before the party will make your muscles look more defined and taut, and doing a full body scrub before rubbing in a lotion with sunscreen will give you that lovely, irresistible glow.

Your face is also important, and since makeup is a bit of a hassle at the poolside, we recommend good skincare because there's nothing like that natural summery radiance that can make you look pretty. Cleanse and tone your face, then use a serum to work as a beauty elixir and smooth the skin while also providing nourishing moisture. After this, apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 and you're done! If you really love makeup and can't imagine yourself going out without your face paint, we recommend a combo of BB cream, waterproof mascara, and a peachy lip gloss.

2. Boudoir Bombshell

Boudoir bombshell

Nothing screams bombshell like a high-waisted bathing suit, but to bring out the sex appeal even more, you want to pair that with a sheer dress. A nice wrap dress made of a see-through material that shows the outline of your sexy swimming suit is going to look hot, hot, hot! Flip flops don't really go with this look, so we recommend a pair of delicate-looking slippers to grace your feet, and some hoop earrings to dangle as the breeze blows. You can style your hair into a small bun and then use a colourful hair scarf for some added stylishness!

3. Boho Chic

Boho chic

A bikini paired with a long, flowy maxi dress and a giant straw hat is your perfect little hippie outfit. Pick a big bag to match the hat and wear some string sandals that you can twist around your legs. A row of plastic bangles is a great way to accessorize, and if you plan to wear sunglasses we recommend a nice pair of Lennon glasses.

4. Easy Stylishness With A Crop Top

Easy stylishness with a crop top

Pick a two-piece swimsuit with the upper part that looks like a cute crop top and you'll never have to worry about your outfit. Crop tops are simply way too fun and sweet on their own to need much work, so simply pair this with a patterned pair of shorts, some flip flops, and you're done! A long necklace could be a fun little detail to add, and if you need more of a cover-up, simply pull on a baggy, see-through blouse over it.

5. Turkish Vibes

What to do if you want to wear pants to the party but the idea of slipping into your jeans on 100-degree weather is already making you sweat? Well, go for a Turkish vibe and pick salwar pants made of a breezy material! It's the perfect summer garment because it's loose, it's comfy, and yet it looks great on anyone. Whether you wear it over your one-piece or a bikini it doesn't matter, and if you want, you can pair it with a gipsy-style off-the-shoulder kind of blouse.

6. From Poolside To A Night Out

From poolside to a night out

Coming to your pool party after a brunch with your parents? No problem! A t-shirt one-piece bathing suit can be your go-to (it's one of the most demure pieces you can find if you prefer to be covered up). Simply pull it on, wear a flouncy, silk A-line skirt over it, and pull on some sandals. A headscarf and simple bracelet are a great way to style it, and you can wear a brighter lipstick to top it off.

Even a pool party is a good opportunity to engage in some fun fashion! Pick a look that suits your style and make sure to rock it with a smile and a great dose of confidence!
