Goodbye Chapped Lips
It is not easy to ignore chapped lips and as the weather gets colder and the air drier they just get worse. Dry, flaky and even painful chapped lips are no joke so here are some simple ways to heal them and keep them moisturized.
Honey Lip Scrub
Honey locks moisture in to your skin, so a little honey combined with sugar and almond oil to exfoliate. Rub gently onto your lips as it moisturizes and takes off dead skin.
Fill up on water
Water is the best aid for dry, flaky lips because if you are hydrated, your lips will be too.
Brush your lips with a soft toothbrush
If you do not have lip scrub, then try a soft toothbrush to gentle exfoliate your lips once or twice per day.
Vitamin E
If your lips are starting to get really cracked and painful, open up a vitamin E capsule and put a little bit of the gel right on the problem areas.
Go for natural lip balms
When buying a lip balm make sure that they contain coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter or beeswax to seal in moisture.
Take care before bedtime
Apply some coconut oil or even honey on your lips at night and wake up with soft and supple lips.
