With winter drawing to a close, and the weather getting warmer every day remember that “spring cleaning” shouldn’t just apply to organising your home or office — it should also be a part of your spring skin care routine. The unfortunate truth is that while spring may beautify the outdoors, it tends to wreak havoc on skin. Environmental changes can irritate acne-prone skin, dry out or irritate, and tighten skin as well.
There’s quite a bit to consider when it comes to skin care in spring. Outside temperatures, environmental conditions, and how much time you spend indoors versus how much you spend outdoors can have a tremendous impact on your skin’s health. That’s why the changing seasons give you the perfect opportunity to switch up your spring skin care routine.
Remember To Moisturise!

With more sunlight, higher temperatures, and increasingly dry air outdoors, every trip outside could pose a threat to the state of your skin. Regardless of the season, moisturising should be an essential part of your skincare routine. If you find your winter moisturiser a little too heavy for spring, consider switching to a light lotion during the day and a gel formula in the evening. Keep items like lip balm and mini hand lotions on-hand, especially if you know you’ll find yourself outdoors frequently.
Prepare For Warmer Weather

While it’s vital to stay moisturised, increased heat and humidity can cause skin to produce more sweat, and as a result, more oil. For those with acne-prone skin, warmer weather often means clogged pores, irritation, and inflammation. You can tackle this as part of your spring skin care routine by opting for oil-free cleansers, toners, and serums. Water-based serums definitely help, as do products with lighter, natural ingredients. Also, as the seasons change and you’re outdoors for longer stretches of time, don’t forget to use broad spectrum sunscreen! If you’re going to be more active or you’re headed to the beach, consider using a water-proof sunscreen as well.

There are a number of natural, nourishing ingredients that can truly make the most of your spring skin care routine. However, skin care in spring is easy with products that address conditions like free radical damage and clogged pores.
In addition to natural antibacterial qualities, neem leaf extract contains bioflavonoids, potent antioxidants that can protect skin cells and prevent discoloration or signs of ageing. For warmer, sunnier conditions, shea butter protects skin’s natural barrier function, with lupeol blocking enzymes that degrade skin proteins. This helps reduce inflammation and absorbs UV radiation, maintaining skin’s firmness.
For an ingredient that combines powerful antioxidants with antimicrobial qualities, green tea extract can’t be beaten. While its antioxidants reduce free radical damage, green tea extract is also soothing, and can help reduce bacteria on the skin, preventing blemishes.

Bad weather in winter can cause havoc in our day-to-day lives, but keeping warm can come at a cost on a more personal level. Using central heating can be the most damaging part of the season for our skin.
The anti-aging industry has seen a significant amount of growth in the last few years. According to a report on Globe News Wire, this industry is expected to reach a global worth of more than £156 billion by the end of 2021.
More than a quarter of women are seeking greater transparency in what they put ‘on’ their skin, finds new research.
We gave Transformula WrinkleBlock to one of our team to test out and this is what they thought.
I have been using the WrinkleBlock for about 4 weeks now around my eyes area. I really like the packaging – the top opens up in a simple twisting motion and the pump delivers as little or a lot of cream as is desired. It closes easily too with a simple twist so there is no danger of losing the lid or worrying how to pack the cream in a luggage. The clear container has generous amount (15 ml) of the cream and I seemed to use only a small amount of the cream so far.
I use the cream twice a day – first thing in the morning before I apply any other products and again at night.
On application, the cream seems to tighten the skin immediately around the area it’s been applied to followed by a rather nice tingling sensation. This seems to last for few minutes. The cream has a strong menthol smell which makes it feel more like a medical product and less like a beauty one. I found that rather reassuring and in keeping with the product’s claim to be a non-invasive, safe and injection free alternative to surgery.
I will happily continue to use the product even though I have not noticed any radical changes or disappearance of wrinkles around the eye area. I don’t seem to have any new wrinkles either so i would be inclined to use it as a preventative measure.

I am sure that we all remember having our very first tattoo.
Being told that it would be on our bodies forever and imagine how it would look when we were older. If you were anything like me at a young age then I am sure that you went straight ahead and had one anyway. You did not care about the warnings because in your head you were 100% sure that you would treasure your inked artwork forever. I do not know how long forever lasted for you but for me forever was a week. I hated the heart I had tattooed on my arm but lucky enough for me it could be covered up wearing certain clothing.
I say lucky for me because unlike my friend I never had the bright idea of having a skull tattoo on my neck. For my friend Rachel this has ruined her life. When she goes to job interviews she gets turned down because of this. Who wants to hire a lady to be secretary with a skull tattoo on her neck? From her experiences I would say no one. It really is a shame as she would be absolutely stunning if she were to wear a turtleneck at all times.
I think Rachel’s luck is finally in as we have just found out about London and Laser Tattoo Removal. PicoSure Tattoo Removal has been seen on channel 5’s, Spike TV’s Tattoo Disasters UK. As this is a faster and more effective way of removing tattoos’, it makes the whole process cheaper and will not require as many treatments to remove your unwanted ink. In only four sessions you can have your skin back to the way God/your Mother intended.
PicoSure even removes blues and greens and they have over 20 years experience in laser treatments. Both consultations and patch tests are free and finance is available. If you are regretting having a boyfriends/best friends name inked on your skin contact Pulse light clinic in London to discuss your options, prices range from 70 pounds and up.
