Naked Talks: A Short Film To Inspire Confidence

Aiming to capture the essence of Peachaus – free-spirited clothing designed to support women to feel comfortable in their own skin and have the courage to be themselves in their everyday, every day – the brand has released a unique two-minute film titled "Naked Talks". The short features a group of first-time public speakers making their debut.

The inspiration came from research that shows three-quarters of people fear public speaking. Taking the advice “imagine your audience naked” to the next level, 40 almost-naked audience members support four first-time public speakers. After preparing themselves, the speakers present to the audience all of whom are dressed in Peachaus underwear. The result is a unique, intimate and emotionally charged film, full of inspiration. To mark the launch of the film and celebrate its latest collection, Peachaus is opening its first brick-and-mortar shop in London's Covent Garden at 55 Monmouth Street.

"At the heart of the Peachaus Naked Talks is the real-life demonstration of people having the courage to be themselves, to be entirely comfortable in their own skin." – says Gillian Ridley Whittle, founder of Peachaus. “The film is about finding your comfort zone, that space where you feel safe, secure and confident, that allows every individual's brilliance to shine. We aimed to capture the essence of Peachaus: clothing to help women have the courage to be themselves in their everyday, every day."

About Peachaus And Sustainability

Founded in 2022, Peachaus is the brainchild of fashion industry doyenne, Gillian Ridley Whittle, backed by Cedric Wilmotte, CEO of Michael Kors. The meaning behind the name represents all the elements of Peachaus; Peach = feminine, soft; Aus = Australian vibe; Haus = community; Peace = acceptance and Each = individual.

Peachaus creates gorgeous and ethically made underwear made from recycled Italian lace, low-impact cotton, bamboo and recycled polyester. All the fabrics have been carefully selected to ensure that the products are super comfortable, soft, lightweight and breathable to make women feel beautiful inside and out. Manufacturing takes place in Portugal and India working with gold-standard, highly accredited and high-quality suppliers who behave with integrity, honesty and transparency at every stage of the supply chain. The collections are created with longevity in mind, not rapid updates; seasonless styles not 2 / 3 constant newness.

This is clothing with a bigger purpose at its heart. Gillian recalls: “A few years ago, while working in Australia, I realised I was finding it so hard to get ethical and sustainable lingerie that was also gorgeous, delicate, supportive, and comfy. I had spent years in the fashion industry, yet had never seen so decided to do it myself. Peachaus was built on a commitment to making everyday beautiful products for every day wear that are long-lived, versatile, considered and underlined by creative collaboration. Clothes that are made in the right way that you can really live in and love for longer. It has taken a long time and a lot of mistakes and learnings along the way but we are thrilled to be officially launching with an amazing brand campaign and our first shop."
